I thought I'd do a little short story about Revan. It's really a letter, as you can see, to Carth from Revan- or Aren Jayde- about why she left.

Aren Jayde is going to be the name of Revan in my other story, A Journey To Find Her. And don't worry, she will have that baby sometime!

So yeah, read and review please!

After I-we- defeated the Sith, the Republic was devastated. Most of the Jedi were gone, the Enclave on Dantooine was destroyed. I-we- began to help put the Republic back together. You, my beloved fiance, were promoted to Admiral. We traveled from planet to planet, hoping to ease their pain, their suffering.

It was then that something became very clear.

People hated me. It was now common knowledge that Aren Jayde, heroine of the Republic, was the dreaded Dark Lord of the Sith. For most, nothing I could say would convince them to trust me. I ended up being nothing but a hindrance on this journey. I sat on the ship while you, my darling Carth, attempted to help these people. I wasn't helping.

That's why I left.

It is an awful night, raining and darker than anything, except when the lightning crashed. I can't't bear to leave you without saying good-bye, I knew that when you kissed me goodnight and left me by my apartment. But I can't bring myself to tell you, not face to face. So I'm leaving a note. Not a hologram, a picture of the real thing, I wanted to leave something that was real.

I can't say I am sorry to leave, only that I am sorry that you must stay behind. I couldn't take you, the Republic needs you.

Sometimes I think of the life we could have had. Maybe I could have given you a baby. I've always wanted a child, Carth, one that would be mine- ours- to love. Did you ever hope for another one?

One day, I might return, but that'll be after I've defeated the Dark presence I feel beyond the outer rim. But no matter what happens, I Love You...
