Tears that burn

Something's wrong, I don't know why

But for some reason, I can't seem to cry

My throat burns with unshed tears

A pain that I have lived with for years

Tears that burn, it hurts my heart

Deep into my soul, breaking it apart

I long for someone who feels them too

Maybe then I can shed a few

But until then I watch what I say

My friends can't know, at lest not today

But they don't truly know what it's like

To feel the tears that burn...
