Author's Notes: Hey everyone, so this is another series I am going to be doing on the side to help practice my writing skills. As some of you know, I take short drabble requests on my tumblr. I figured I would make a master series for it. They won't be incredibly long, roughly 300-1000 words each and the rating will vary. Well hope y'all enjoy! ^.^
Request: April and Timothy interaction with Donnie's reaction
Rating: K+
A/N: this little drabble takes place during the episode "The Pulverizer"
Donnie could feel his patience wearing thin. "Timothy is almost hopeless…almost."
Inside the Dojo, he had been working with the Pulveriser. Currently, he was making his do stretches. However, the last stretch he attempted caused him to do an unwilling split. An agonizing cry erupted from him, causing Donnie to wince in sympathy. "Ooooh that had to hurt."
"I'm…okay." He huffed out as he tried to crawl out of the painful position. It was difficult for Donnie to bear. Lifting a foot, he planted it into the Pulverizer's side, so that he was out of the awkward predicament.
"Ah, thanks man."
Rolling his eyes, Donnie walked away and decided to think about what to have him do next. "I'm starting to wonder if his almost hopeless case reverted into a completely hopeless one" Burrowing his face into his hands, he felt frustrated
at the moron that stood behind him.
Suddenly, a familiar voice sounded. "Guys, are you in here?"
Dread crept into Donnie and wiped his face. "Oh no…"
Lifting his head, he looked towards the entrance. April's head was poking in and her face held confusement. "Uh, am I interrupting something?"
Before Donnie could open his mouth, Timothy bumbled passed him and headed over to her. "Hey, I know you! You go to my school."
Then April stepped inside fully and looked towards Donnie questioningly. "Um…why is he here?"
"Long –"
The Pulverizer cut him off and proudly stated "He's teaching me how to be a ninja! That way, I can become one of them!" Then cupping his chin with his hand, he cocked an eyebrow. "Say, why are you here? Are you training to be a ninja too?"
An awkward smile spread across her face as she lightly dipped her head. "Uh yeah…I guess you can say that."
"Oh man, that's soooo awesome!" he cried as he grabbed her hands. Her face cringed slightly at the sudden touch.
Donnie wasn't going to take it anymore. Rolling his eyes, he drew his staff and pushed Timothy away. "Alright, back to work. Also, I am not training you to become one of us. That will take years of practice."
Timothy had a smirk on his face. "Alright, chill." Then he leaned in close and whispered "Man, she's cute isn't she?"
Blushing and feeling taken aback, Donnie shoved him. "Come on, let's continue."
April tilted her head and folded her arms. She just had to see this. Sighing, Don eyed his student. "Alright, give me fifty pushups."
"Okay!" with an enthusiastic voice, he replied. Noticing April staring at them, he added "Also, I can show off my muscles for the pretty lady."
Donnie felt another twinge of agitation as he saw the dorky smile plastered on his hopeless student's face. He looked over towards April to see her expression and she struggled to contain a snicker. Leaving Timothy to struggle with the basic exercise, he made his way to her side.
"So you know him?" Leaning over, he whispered.
A bit of her laughter escaped and she replied "Oh yeah. He's a senior and he's head of the comic book club."
Donnie wiped his face once more "Ugh. Why doesn't that surprise me?" Then he looked back over to the Pulverizer and saw that he was starting to get the hang of doing them.
"Not bad." He commented encouragingly.
Between heavy labored breaths, Timothy wheezed out "Oh this is nothing. I could easily do a thousand of them if it meant saving the girl next to you one day."
"Alright, that's it. I've had enough." In annoyed thoughts, Donnie marched over to him. Then getting down on all fours, he got into the proper position.
"First off, you need to fix your form; it's sloppy. Also, you aren't lowering yourself far down enough." As Donnie explained, he began doing the pushups with ease. Timothy began to pant and soon he collapsed. Feeling like he made his point, Don ceased the exercise and gathered himself to his feet.
For some reason, he felt a slight twinge of pleasure from embarrassing him in front of April. When he looked down towards his student, he could tell he was overworked. "Alright, maybe I pressed him a little too hard."
Feeling slightly guilty, he placed a hand on the Pulverizer's shoulder. "I'll let you rest for a bit and then we can work with the punching bag."
Still huffing, his student looked up at him. "Sweet!"
April felt things get a bit awkward and she glanced at her cell. "Well, as much as I would love to stick around and help…I have school in the morning. So, I'll see you later, Donnie."
A wave of relief crashed down on him at those words. "Alright, cya'" Lifting an arm he waved at the redhead.
Timothy's face lit up a bit and in an exhausted voice, he called out "Bye, I'll see you at school!"
"Okay!" Her voice called back as she exited the Dojo.
Smacking his face, Donnie instantly regretted taking pity on Timothy. "Oh great…"
