This poem is based on the first story in the first book of the original Count Cain series. I don't think it's the best poem I've ever written, but I try.
I love you, my dearest, oh dearest beloved,
I love you with all my might...
You called me your little turtledove,
I laughed and dreamt of you that night...
I am a second Juliet,
I feel forbidden love...
I
am rich and you are poor,
But this problem can be solved.
The
Emerald Forest a thousand times flooded
will put my life to
sleep;
And when I awake to see your face,
into the sunrise
together we'll creep.
I succumb to the darkness that seeps
through my veins
I no longer see the sun
I give my last thanks
to my dear cousin Cain
while I wait for my dearest loved one.
The
darkness; it scares me!
My eyes, they are blind!
Oh where is my
loved one?
I'm losing my mind...
The darkness is
closing
The coffin feels smaller
I must find the air
and
kiss my love's collar...
My love has betrayed me...
I blame
my old mother.
I place my hand upon her chest
and so she'll
breathe no longer.
My love shall be wedded,
but not to that
girl.
her fear leaves her dead;
her bouquet I shall hurl.
I
kiss you, beloved,
my emerald lips shine...
and so we shall die
here;
forever you're mine.
