The teddy-bear hit the table and landed harmlessly on the floor.
The Fourth Hokage looked up and froze, a feeling of doom setting over him.
He was doing it again.
Tiny fists clenched and pink, baby lips pulled together to form a pout.
Please, please no. Please...
The chubby face scrunched up and blue eyes began to fill with tears. Seconds later, the inevitable wail filled the whole room. His first thought was to run for his life. The wails, if possible, increased in volume. Yondaime stood up, and praying for mercy, walked over to the bed where the crying baby sat. Picking up the fallen Teddy, he presented it to the child, only to have the it thrown away, this time, right onto the pile of papers that sat on his desk.
Sighing, he formed the seals with his hands. With a cloud of smoke, a second Yondaime appeared. The baby stopped crying at once and made a sound, clapping his tiny hands together in delight. The second Yondaime kneeled beside the baby and held out his hand, concentrating chakra onto it.
The other Yondaime sighed before walking into the adjoined kitchen. As he reached for the cup of cupramen sitting on the counter, he heard the baby laugh. Yondaime shook his head.
"You're one hell of a baby, Naruto."
He opened the cup of ramen and proceeded to crush its contents before adding hot water into it. After the three minutes were over, he ladled half of the crushed noodle into a bowl, took a spoon and headed back to where the baby sat.
"Alright, Naruto. Dinner time," he said, presenting the baby with a spoonful of ramen cautiosly. The baby turned his head away from his father's chakra-manipulating clone and sniffed. Then his baby eyes lit up and he gurgled, and hungrily slurped up the ramen, opening his mouth for more.
By the time Yondaime had finished feeding the baby his dinner, they were both covered by ramen. The baby smiled, showing off the only four teeth he had, and held out his hands.
Yondaime smiled inspite of himself and picked up the baby. "Lets get you cleaned up,eh?"
As he picked up the child, Yondaime's eyes met the framed photograph on the bedside table.
"Wish you were here to see him, Kushina."
