"This is my birthday present to you, my love," Draco handed her a thin, silver bracelet.
"Oh thankyou!" Pansy exclaimed with joy.
"If you look on the underside, there's a message for you..." Pansy turned it over to see the message read 'For you, my love, to keep us together always'.
Pansy kissed Draco and hugged him; she ignored the smirks his friends surrounded her with.
Half a year later and Pansy knew that bracelet was there to torture her; it had dark magic written all over it and every time Draco wanted her, it let her know. The bracelet would burn into her skin, making her weak until she found him – there was no hiding anymore.
It was a sunny day and Pansy was walking around the grounds when the light burning started, signalling she should make her leave to her master. Pansy started to run around the deserted corridors; everyone was outside enjoying the early May sunshine.
The bracelet stung more violently and Pansy ran even faster, bumping into the walls with the pictures shouting at her.
Pansy turned the corner and ran into someone, being so weak she stumbled over. A hand was held out and she grabbed it.
"Potter?" she shook her words out.
"Parkinson? Are you alright?"
"No -" and she set off at another run, but Harry grabbed her wrist; the one with the bracelet on, only to let go because it burned him and he let out a yelp.
"What is that on your wrist?"
"Forget it Potter, I have to go," she carried on shaking and as the pain got worse her words turned into screams. Pansy collapsed against a statue and Harry didn't know what to do.
"Look, I can get it off, please, let me try..." Harry started.
"Nobody can get it off Potter!" Pansy screamed at him, tears welling up. Through her blurred vision, she looked down at the bracelet and saw a corner of it flash – Draco was near and he was angry.
"SHIT," Pansy screeched down the corridor as Draco strode down it confidently, looking very angry.
"Alright Parkinson, you're for it now, it's not the first time you've taken so long to respond. Is the pain not enough? Should I get it removed and add more into it?"
Pansy shook her head, cowering on the floor, tears streaming down her face.
"You did this to her?" Harry spoke up from the sidelines of this tragic scene.
"Potter? What are you doing here?" Draco turned on him, eyes narrowed in fury.
"Nothing, I was just passing...and Pansy bumped into me...and I..."
"Oh shut up and get out of here Potter," Draco muttered as he grabbed Pansy's arm and stopped the pain while dragging her up by her hair.
Harry turned to leave but a woman screaming his name pulled him back.
"POTTER! POTTER PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME!" Pansy screamed, to which she promptly received a backhand around the face from Draco. He noticed Crabbe and Goyle come round the corner and Draco pushed Pansy at them, noting for them to take her away. Grabbing her under his arm, Goyle hauled her up and walked away with her screaming and kicking.
Draco turned on Harry and cornered him.
"If you ever repeat what you just saw to anyone, Potter, you will be sorry."
"How could you do that to her?"
Draco smirked and walked away.
