A/N A little Christmas one shot

Christine sat at the kitchen counter carefully writing her letter to Santa. "Mommy?"

"Yes Christine?" Brennan looked up from the carrots she was chopping.

"How will Santa know what to bring Hank since he can't write a list?"

"Well when you're too little to write a list like Hank is Santa brings you things he thinks you'll like…"

"I'm gonna write Santa a letter for Hank so he gets what he wants."

Brennan smiled, "that's a really good idea, Sweetheart. Hold on a minute."

"Okay." Brennan walked over to the play yard and lifted Hank out and carried him over to the counter and sat on a stool with him on the counter in front of her.

"What color should I write Hank's list with, Mommy?"

"Use orange, I think that's Hank's favorite color right now."

"Okay. What do you want for Christmas, Hank?' Brennan smiled and handed the ten month old a set of plastic keys.

"Your brother would like an activity walker, to help him with his walking skills, a shape sorter-"

"I had one."

"You did, I gave it to Daisy for baby Lance. Hank would also like a rock and stack, a water table and a plastic train set."

"Okay." Brennan waited while Christine finished writing Hank's list, spelling things when asked. Christine messily folded the pieces of paper and stuffed them in an envelope, writing 'Santa North Pole 'on the front in green crayon.

After Christine was in bed Brennan handed Booth the envelope, "Christine wrote Santa a letter on Hank's behalf so he'd get what he wants for Christmas. She asked what he wanted and I named things we'd already discussed getting him. Her list is acceptable all but the pony, though we should look into getting her riding lessons." Booth grinned and took out the papers and read Christine's list. "I have no objections to anything on her list and I agree with the riding lessons, she'd love them."

"I'll look into it tomorrow."

"Sounds good. As much as it pains me to say this she's too big for the tricycle so a 'big kid' bike is a must. I saw a dollhouse the other day i know she'll love. I can get it and the bike tomorrow since they're big and will fit in the SUV easier.

"Thanks Can you get the activity walker and the water table for Hank too? I can get everything else plus more."

"Sure, Bones."

"Great. Her last day is the 19th so we should take off the day before and get everything wrapped."

"Good idea we need to figure out what to get Parker and mail it soon."

"Did you call Rebecca and ask what he wants."

"Not yet…"

"Booth you're going to have to unless you want a repeat of the skateboard fiasco. "

"I know I will tomorrow."

Christmas Day began too early, but after Christine opened most of her presents Brennan sat in the floor with Hank and helped him open his while Booth took pictures and video. Hank's favorite present was the box his activity walker came in!
