"I love the sunset," Sonny said and sighed. She was so beautiful I just loved to sit next to her on the beach, looking at the red, purple, pink, yellowish and dark blue sky, that were as beautiful as she was. I glanced at her with a smirk, she seemed to fit in the beauty like she was born with it. I wish she could stay there with me, she'd stare at the sky and I'd stare at her. The sun was warming our skin, and its reflection appeared in her dark eyes.
"Chad look!" She called and pointed at the sky "See? It's the first star of the evening!"
"So? Stars appear every night?"
"Yeah but, they are just always beautiful! I love the stars."
"Why? Because you are a girl and you like shiny things?"
"Shut up!" She punched me and I laughed.
Sonny and I lied on the ground opposite to each other while the sky turned darker . "There they are. Like every night, Sonny." I said.
"Chad, I know that they come every night but they are still amazing."
"How?"
"Wha- Chad! Just look at them…"
I looked at them, nothing special. Many little white dots in the sky, shinning just a bit.
"Well…" I began.
"Nothing? Well maybe we should…" Sonny got out her iPod and gave me one earphone. "I think this song might make you realize how wonderful the stars are."
"What song is that?"
"It's called Wonderful, by Gary Go."
"Let's see." The song began slowly… That a bit faster, and every time the singer said 'Wonderful' I felt a little spark. I realized Sonny was scanning my expression, and I looked at her to see her face. Now, every time the singer said 'Wonderful' I felt like I fell in love again for the first time, although I see Sonny every day.
"Any difference?" She asked. I was going to say no when I realized something.
I said that 'I felt like I fell in love again for the first time, although I see Sonny every day' and that's what Sonny thinks about the stars.
I was going to look up at the sky to see if there's any difference now but Sonny grabbed my hand and called "Wait."
Sonny looked at me for a moment with silence, she began locking our fingers. I moved some hair off her face. She hugged my arm and I kissed her hair, than her forehead, her nose, her cheeks and finally her soft lips. I felt how the blood was ponding in my ears, how much I needed that kiss, and even when the kiss broke I felt glad to have Sonny next to me.
She put her head on my shoulder and closed her eyes. And when I looked up at the sky, the stars were suddenly as bright as the sun, as shiny as a diamond, and as outstanding as my love.
