A story where Brooke is new to Tree Hill, I think it's set senior year. She moves in next door to Lucas, who is living with Dan and a 14 year old Lily.
Lucas is super depressed due to Dan's constant physical abuse and Brooke helps him to overcome that. All the while they get closer.
Mouth and Peyton are both Lucas' closest friends but since whatever has happened they've become a little distant. Like Lucas doesn't really smile anymore.
Oh, and Brooke moves into the house that once belonged to Clay, she is even staying in his room so it's directly across from Lucas' room.
That's as much as I can remember, I just can't for the life of me remember the name of the fic.
Any help would be great!
Also that story isn't complete, I think the last chapter in it is Brooke talking about how much she likes Lucas but she can't seem to fully get through to him before he closes himself up.
