When Lexie entered the apartment later that night, all the lights were off.

"Mark?" she called out, it was only seven so she knew that he was home.

After Mark had freaked out on her that dreadful day that she lost two of her friends, she realized that life was too short. She had ended up going to his hotel and doing just what she did to get him to see her in the first place. That was all 6 months ago.

"In the bedroom" he called back.

As she made her way towards the bedroom she noticed rose petals leading her to the bedroom.

"What is with all the..." she was speechless. When she walked into the bedroom she saw what had awaited her. The room was illuminated only by the candles that mark had lit all through the room. She saw rose petals scattered along the bed spread and a very nervous looking mark pacing the room.

"What's all this?"

"O.K. I have been going over this moment in my head so many times and I thought I had it all set."

"What are you talking about?" She asked timidly.

"I'm not this sappy romantic guy and I know that we've only been together six months, but lex, you're it for me." He said looking at her with a gaze that made her feel like she was only women in the world.

"You're it for me too" as she was shedding tears of happiness

"I love you, you have changed my life there is no one else that I would want to spend the rest of my life with but you."

"Mark..."

"Please, let me finish"

"Ok" Her eyes were filling with tears of happiness as she watched the man in front of her pull a velvet box out of his pocket.

"Lexie, you are the only women that I ever want to be with for the rest of my life, do you think that you could put up with me?"

"Yes."

"Lex, will you do me the honor of becoming Alexandra Sloan?"

"Yes, a thousand times yes."

He slipped the ring on her finger and then cupped her face in his hands and gave her a kiss that made Lexie's knees go weak. The kisses turn passionate and soon they had to come up for air.

"I'm going to be Mrs. Sloan" as she pulled away clapped her hands then gave him another passionate kiss.

He rested his forehead against hers and told her in a voice reserved only for her

"I really don't deserve you" he mumbled.

She continued on like she hadn't heard the last comment,

"I am the luckiest women in the world" she smiled at him

"You have no idea how lucky I am to be marrying you Lex" and he really meant it.
