1.

"I love you."

He hadn't mean for it to happen. It just kind of came out one day as they were talking in the woods. It was probably the second date they'd been on, but it had just slipped out.

"I love you." Nico froze as soon as he said it and waited for the rejection. But it didn't come.

"I love you too Death Boy. Now come on, we're gonna be late for dinner.."

2.

"Will, I love you, but you're an idiot sometimes."

This had been the first time Nico had said the l-word in public, the second time he had said it in general. Will had obviously brushed it off as just something his boyfriend had said, but the two other demigods stared at him in shock.

"You what?" exclaimed Cecil.

Lou Ellen hit his arm. "Shuttup," she hissed. "He can say whatever he wants to. It was probably an accident."

"Oh no. We're dating you didn't know that?"

Cecil and Lou Ellen stared at the golden haired boy.

"WHAT?" they both yelled at the same time.

"You didn't think to tell us?" Lou Ellen remarked.

"It just didn't come up," Nico replied, and that was that.

3.

"I hate you, but I love you."

This was their first fight. It was over something stupid, but they had both made a big deal out of it. Finally, Nico was done with the silent treatment. He marched right up to the Apollo cabin and knocked on the door loudly.

He was greeted by one of Will's sunshiney siblings, who took one look at Nico's expression and called out to his brother.

"Will, you, uh, better get out here."

After some discussing, the two of them had forgotten what they had been fighting about in the first place and were making out in the forest.

"I hate you, but I also love you."

"The feeling is mutual."

And the two continued on their task, missing lunch. If anyone asked, they had been in the infirmary.

4.

"Gods, I love you so much."

It was muttered between bedsheets and fumbling hands, the sweat from the two males as they attempted something new.

It was muttered at the end of the night when he was pressed up against his boyfriend's smooth chest.

5.

"Of course. I love you after all."

It was spoken moments after Will had proposed. It was silly to think that Nico would have said no. They were deeply in love, and no one could come between them.

"Of course. I love you after all." And with that, the two kissed, and rings were exchanged along with their hearts.

6.

"Nico, please wake up," the child of the sun murmured. He brushed the red and black bangs off of his fiancé's forehead and placed a kiss on his temple, shuddering sobs traveling through his body.

His hands desperately tried to rouse the other, but the blood kept seeping from his clothes, and Will's powers weren't doing anything.

"It'll be okay," he assured himself, because there was nobody else to assure.

"It'll be okay."
