Nino wasn't a romantic, but he could kind of see how the light through the trees hit her dress, and how her dress just seemed to come to life. Marinette's dress was simple: a light green with mostly yellow flowers with dark green leaves. It wouldn't have done much probably for anyone else in Nino's eyes, but on Marinette, it shone.
The green somehow accented her blue eyes, making them a little darker, making a few colors stand out in them that he'd never seen before, and also it made Nino's heart stop. Somehow the green just made her look so lively, so full of life, and she stood out easily in the park.
"H-Hey, Marinette." When her eyes found him, he couldn't tell you what makeup was around them or that there was some, but he could tell you that his heart still couldn't quite work right: skipping and then carrying on with a faster than fast speed in his chest.
"Hello." Her smile could melt the heart of stones, and Nino wondered really if her lips were as soft as they looked.
"H-Hi, so do you want to go to a restaurant for o-our date then?" Nino managed to ask, still a little dazed by just how beautiful and stunning she really looked right now.
"I packed a picnic since we were meeting at the park. I-Is that fine?" Just the nervous tug of her teeth on her lip and her wide, slightly worried blue eyes put a crack in his own heart.
"I-It's fine." He wondered if he was really stuttering or if that was his breath leaving his throat in random bursts, "I'd love a picnic."
Marinette's beaming smile put Nino's heart at ease, "I even made dessert today."
"Then it's going to be incredible, Marinette." Nino smiled, finally glad to have relaxed again though he did wonder if he'd ever get a chance to find out if her lips were as soft as they looked or if he'd lose his ability to speak for a while again, because, wow, did she look phenomenal.
Nino wasn't an expert on clothes nor did he usually pay much attention to them, but he was half positive that Marinette planned to wear that dress today, knowing that the light shining from between the trees at the park would make her come to life almost like a fairy or an ethereal being. He'd stay forever by her side even if he only ever got a hint of her light. She was amazing, inside and out, and Nino worried that if it were possible to fall in love with someone in no time at all, Marinette would have all of his heart in just a single heartbeat.
