Disclaimer: I don't fucking own Naruto.
A/N: Jesus, this sucks. I think I'm out of touch. Way out of touch. This is what I get for not writing fanfiction or anything much in general for months on end.
Stalker
Hinata's wide, pale eyes blinked at the blonde who was slightly taller than her. Her first thought was to blush bright red and faint. The former was easy, but, for some strange reason or another, the latter refused to happen. The male in the orange jumpsuit blinked again before a blindingly beautiful smile came to his face and he questioned her, just as cheerful as usual, "Hey, Hinata! What're ya doin' behind this tree?"
Her voice was lost, her mouth opening and closing over and over again, mimicking that of a goldfish, in an attempt to find words, but she could find none.
"I-I-I-" Came the stutter and she cursed her voice and her shyness. She so wished she was as social as Naruto was, so open and outgoing. But she wasn't and she doubted she'd ever be. Every time someone so much as asked her what her name was, she would stutter as if she was covered in goosebumps and it was freezing outside, but that wasn't the case and that was obvious.
"I. . ." She trailed off, unsure of what exactly to say. No one would've planned for this, after all. She'd been in her usual spot, watching her fellow genin work vigorously towards his goal, just as bright and optimistic as he had been the day before that and the day before that. "I-I wasn't..."
Naruto blinked at her, lifting his hand and pressing his hand to her forehead, as if feeling a fever. "Man, Hinata, your face is red! Are you sick?" The question only served to make her face even darker. However, the darkening went unnoticed. "We should get you to a doctor, Hinata!"
"A-Ano, N-Na-Naruto-kun... I-I'm fine!" Naruto's panicked, frantic expression softened promptly. He nodded, sighing with relief as Hinata blinked up at her crush, his eyes just as probing as they had been moments ago. "I-I was..." He raised a brow questioningly, wondering why it was so hard for her to answer such a simple question. He'd ask her what she was doing her and, much to his dismay, he was still here awaiting an answer.
"I-I wasn't stalking you!" Hinata blurted under the non-existant pressure Naruto had her under.
Naruto could only blink, wondering what the girl was talking about as she looked at him, very frantic, and seemingly perpetually flustered. "I-I-I-" With that, her pale eyes rolled back into her head, barely noticable and a loud thud echoed through the clearing as the girl contacted with the ground.
"Wh-wha- H-Hinata!"
A/N: Well. . . I never was too good with one-shots and drabbles anyways, but I guess I can't blame it on that completely. I just suck at this.
