Without Shadows
You said the shadows couldn't hurt me.
You said the shadows where my safety.
You said nothing could touch me when I was within the shadows...
You were wrong.
You said the shadows were the haven of our kind.
You said the shadows would never judge.
You said you'd always be with me when I was within the shadows...
You were wrong.
How are the shadows to help me when all there is is light?
How are the shadows going to save me from what is now?
How am I meant to feel safe where I live?
How is it that you lied to me?
How are the shadows going to bring you back?
How are the shadows to save my soul?
How are you going to bring the shadows back to me?
How is it that you lied to me?
I'm never going to see the shadows again.
I'm never going to see what you said was true.
I'm never to belive in myself.
I'm no longer within safetys life essence.
I now know that you only said those things to save yourself.
