It's Just Reality
I do not own BTR, but I made up the song.
It had been a month of "The Real BTR." The four boys stood in Griffin's office, waiting for the results. Griffin walked into his
office, holding a cup of black coffee. He said, "Okay, guys, I have the down." Kendall pressed his hand together, hoping
with all his heart that he wouldn't go home. Griffin said, "Carlos, well, all the viewers think you're insane, and they love it. You get to
stay, and you will get your bonus tomorrow. Logan, you were in second place. Everyone thinks you're really smart,and they love smart
."
James and Kendall stood up. Griffin said, "Okay, Kendall,James, well, it was a very close vote. But the boy who got 5 less
than the other one is…Kendall." Kendall frowned as he fought back tears. James said, "Wow. Five votes. I can't believe I get to
stay." Logan said, mad at James, "So, all you care about is your bonus? You're not even gonna say goodbye. Some friend you
are." James said as Kendall sat down, really trying not to be a baby, "I'm sorry, Kendall. I didn't mean it.I was just surprised that
you're leaving.I never expected it."
Kendall couldn't take it anymore. He ran up to Logan and cried into his shoulder. Logan hugged him and rubbed the blonde's
back. Carlos had started to sob as well, and James was trying not to cry, but it was hard. Griffin said, "Kendall, if I could
do something, I would, but I just can't. I'm sorry. You have 2 days to pack your bags." James said, "2 days? That's not a lot."
Kendall yelled, furious, "No shit, Sherlock James! I bet you don't even feel bad. You didn't even say you would miss me." James said,
"I'm sorry!" But Kendall pushed James out of the way and ran to the Palmwoods, wiping his eyes.
Kendall ran to the elevator. He was so mad, he smashed his hand against it, which left a dent and made Kendall's hand
bleed. He wiped his eyes, which was a bad idea, because he got blood all over his pupil. The elevator stopped, and Kendall went
to 2J. He walked in and saw his guitar, grabbed it, and started to sing. "I don't care, I don't care, things happen the way they
do, and I know, nothing can change my mind. It's just reality, it's just the way things are, they happen that way, nothing to do
about them, it's just reality, oh, yeah."
James had been watching the whole time and recording. He clapped, and Kendall turned around. Kendall said, "You've been
watching the whole time?" James said, "Yeah, and so have Logan, Carlos, and Griffin." Claps came from James' phone, and Griffin
said, "Great job, Kendall. I'll talk to Snake Timmons and see if you can stay on the show.I wish you luck." Kendall, James, Carlos,
and Logan went to Fun Burger that night for Kendall's possibly- last dinner in L.A. They also went to the movie theaters, where
they hung out at the arcade. Carlos said as they were playing Crazy Crane, " I hope you don't go home, Kendall." Logan, James,
and Kendall all said, "Me neither." Carlos won a stuffed dog for Kendall, and everyone headed home at about 10:00.
Kendall woke up at about 5:00 a.m. to the sound of his phone. He picked it up, still tired, and said, "Hello?" The man
said, "This is Griffin." Kendall said, kicking his covers off his bare feet, "Oh, hi. So, did you talk to Snake Timmons?" Carlos and
James dashed into the room, half-asleep. Logan woke up as well. Kendall held the phone up to his friends, on speaker,
as Griffin said, "Well, I talked to Snake Timmons, and I played the song. He said that… you can stay after all." Kendall yelled,
"Yes!" He kicked his feet up, and they hit Logan in the face. Logan, after saying, "Ouch.", said, "I'm so glad you get to stay!" Griffin
hung up after saying, "Welcome back, kid.", and everyone went to sleep in Kendall's room, knowing that sometimes, reality wasn't
that bad after all.
