A/N: This one maybe a bit AU-ish. I can't exactly explain, since my writing turned out to have events from the original trilogy and things that make it seem like the original trilogy and ROTS never happened. I do hope you will forgive that.
Disclaimer: I do not own Star Wars. It all belongs to Mr. Lucas.
Love
1. Her iron will.
She wouldn't be swayed. She wouldn't betray those who she was loyal to. She wouldn't bow or break.
Anything she had said on the Death Star was a lie. Anything Tarkin threw at her, she spat back into his face.
He loved that she would never give in.
2. Her ability to love.
She loved Luke as a brother before she knew he was her brother. She loved her smuggler so tenderly and deeply. She loved her friends as family. She loved her droids as valued friends. She was willing to risk the pain of loss to give someone who could be dead within a week love.
He loved that she loved.
3. Her selflessness.
She so rarely thought of herself first.
The Alliance came first, Luke and her smuggler came before the Alliance, and even the Wookie came before herself.
She fought not for her own life, but for the lives of others.
He loved that she protected without expecting to be protected.
4. Her daring.
She was so brave, so courageous.
She'd kept the Death Star plans concealed. She'd faced both Vader and Tarkin with her head held high and her pride shinning. She'd killed Jabba the Hutt. She was trouble for anyone who crossed her.
He loved that she faced fear with a rock hard constitution.
5. Her innocence.
It was wrong. She didn't belong in such a horrid war.
And yet she still maintained a kind of innocence that could not be taken. She was still a free spirit at heart.
He loved that she could still be that young girl after all she'd been through.
6. Her sense of right and wrong.
She knew what was right and what was wrong. She knew that the Empire was every definition of wrong, that nothing they had ever done was right. She knew the rebellion was right. She knew they were fighting for everything right and good in the galaxy.
He loved that she would never have that knowledge shaken.
7. Her ability to see the truth.
She would never be fooled by a lie because she could see though it even when no one else could.
Everything was clear to her, and if it wasn't, she would find a way to wipe away any falseness soon enough.
He loved that nothing got past her.
8. Her force sensitivity.
If anything was going to protect her, the force would. The force had chosen to ally itself with her, and that spoke volumes of her strength and ability.
He loved that she had the makings of a Jedi.
9. Her beauty.
She was so beautiful, so very lovely. She had the fiery beauty, but she also was touched by a cold, graceful beauty.
It was impossible for there to be someone else as beautiful as she was in the galaxy.
He loved that she had Padmé's beauty, as well as her own.
10. She was his daughter.
Hisdaughter. Hisbaby girl.
She was his princess. She was his little angel. She was his dearest, darling girl.
And force help him if he ever did anything besides love her.
End
