"Other Worlds Than This"

Once when I was a child, I remember, looking around and thinking the world was bigger. The trees were taller, the grass was greener and the blue sky was vaster than anything I could've ever hoped for.
I felt insignificant against that vast blue sky and sea and this world with the dojo where I train, where Kuina lived, where I was always defeated by her, where she and I were stronger than the adults, it looked so much bigger.
Looking at the sky and the sea then, I've always wondered if there were other worlds this one I lived on. I was a child then. It may have sounded like a silly sentiment, for it was my childish mind that thought of it. And when I left, when I grew older, I realized that the world was indeed quite small since I always seemed to bump into friends and acquaintances then as a pirate hunter.
My world revolved around being the best swordsman in the world, I considered the world small and it was insignificant.
Then I met him.
Him and his wide grin...
Him and his stupid antics...
Him and his straw hat...
Him and his great ambition...
Him and his other worlds...
He laughs his silly laugh and that goofy grin on his face. He runs around our ship yelling "Meat! Meat!" with annoys that cook to no end. He and his stretchable body that always knock me off the ship and into the sea. Him and his optimistic point of view about everything. Everything will turn out okay in the end.
And suddenly, I knew I was drawn to this person, no matter how stupid he may seem sometimes. The great trust and faith he gives us was beyond the vast sky and sea. Beyond anything I could've hoped for.
The rubber man captain has showed the other worlds that I've always wondered about. That many other worlds existed beyond that sea and sky.
They were his worlds and he had drawn us into it.
It revolves around him.
"Oi, Zorro!" I heard him say. It sounded quite nice coming from him. He's been sitting up front of the ship as usual. His favorite perch. For a hammer, that's a dangerous place but maybe not to him.
"What?"
He stops for a moment and gives me that stupid wide grin.
"Nothing." He replies, cheerfully and when something catches his eyes, he shouts. "Oh! Land! Meat!" And he laughs. "Nami! There's land!!"
Our navigator looks down at her maps and she says something but I can't hear her. Nami may be our navigator. But It's Luffy who creates other worlds for us.
Other worlds than this...
