Gone in the night,
a poem frome the POV of an Alderaani Jedi who watched her fiance die moments
before Alderaan
NOTE: The blame for this one falls on Emi. This is what

Gone In The Night
consciousness ebbs away, into the cold and lonely night
within my minds eye, the colours spiral and twist,
my life force, my existance, slip into the darkness' abyss.
The nightland gathers all about me, squeezing out the light
I hear the cries, they haunt my mind in lonley hour
a past of pain, future devoide of hope
nothing left to do but to try and cope
the suffering of the past, draining away my power
the night of the death of my pure forsaken home
i try and try to leave behind this strife,
she is gone, no longer a part of this life
but in dream, i am back upon her sweet loam
the perfume of the dark is heavy and all too sweet
the cries are gone, the sun is high,
the peace i loved and missed is nigh
do you recall m'darling? this is where we did meet
the night was warm, we met under yonder tree
only children then, very little more
we pledged our love on these shores
i promise you, someday, we'll both be free
until then, m'sweet, i will dream again of you
no jedi code can now hold me back,
your soul is the bit of the force i lack
deceptive it may be, but my love is true
so i surrender, into the sweet dreamland far
i will hold you in my arms tonight,
and be delivered to morning without fright,
existing in the light of long-dead star
my love,
your sweet flesh,
gone in the blaze,
in the pain,
in the haze
i call upon you
forget me not
life
it is short
but in death
we both will again
live.
and this,
i do,
i do
i
do
swear
