Rico squawked indignantly as he stormed out of headquarters in search of fish or dynamite. He didn't care which one he found first; he just needed something to alleviate the pressure of living with idiots that was pounding in his head. He'd heard Maureen crying about being lonely one time too many today, and he was exhausted from Skipper and Private's bickering as well.

He'd never understand why Skipper couldn't just admit his love for Private. After all, everybody already knew he loved him, and love didn't make a penguin weaker. It made him stronger. Even Kowalski, who always thought too much with his brain, understood that despite constantly running experiments to figure out love.

Rico rolled his eyes at Phil and his partner throwing poo at each other as he continued on his lonely way through the zoo. He didn't understand all the fuss about love, rather or not to show it, and how it worked. It was simple, really. Love was the most wonderful thing in all the universe.

The love Rico felt for Kowalski made his heart boom with a louder, more colorful, and exciting explosion than all the dynamite in the world! He made him glow with happiness far brighter than any fire and filled him with explosive excitement with the smallest of touches.

Rico squawked. Love was simple, but it was wonderful! Eventually Kowalski would stop his experiments and come looking for him, and Rico would be waiting for his love with dynamite to blow, a huge grin, and an open heart and flippers full of everlasting love for his beloved, if a little crazy, Scientist forever after.
