Emmet punched my arm playfully.

"You're next Eddie. Truth or Dare?"

I considered that for a tenth of a second.

"Dare."

Emmett grinned wickedly.

"Try and score that hotty over there."

He pointed three tables over where a girl sat by herself.

She had waist length brown hair and pale skin. Even from far away I could see that she was beautiful. I was frozen I place. He wanted me to ask out Bella Swan.

In all honesty I was really attracted to her, but what guy wasn't? she was super hot. But for some reason everyone seemed almost afraid of her. They always seemed to give her a wide birth of space, like she was extremely dangerous.

I jumped when Emmett elbowed me in the ribs.

"Your not gonna chicken out are ya? Get a move on little bro."

I rolled my eyes and stood up.

"That's more like it, you're the man!"

"Emmett- shut up." Jasper said coolly, throwing a book at his head.

I ignored them and walked up to her table. She didn't look up as I approached her. My fingertips brushed the edge of the table. Suddenly the chair pushed in across from her was pushed out, the legs making an annoying screeching on the floor.

"Go ahead" she whispered her voice soft, gentle. "Sit."

I couldn't move. Hearing her voice for the first time, I was struck at how beautiful it was. Like music.

"Isn't there something you wanted to say to me? Or did you approach the wrong table?"

She turned her gaze to me and my breathing stopped. She was more beautiful up close. Her eyes were a soft golden color, large and expressive, her expression seemed slightly amused. I though I heard her mummer 'breathe' but I wasn't sure.

"Well, are you going to sit or not?"

I couldn't speak. She sighed.

"Edward, your making a scean. Now sit."

My heart picked up a beat when she said my name, snapping me back to the present. I took a deep breath and slide into the chair. She chuckled.

"Now, was that so hard?"

I nodded. She chuckled lightly again and shook her head.

"How?" I managed to choke out.

She tilted her head to the side slightly, waiting for me to finish my question.

"How did you know my name?"

She chuckled again and pointed at my brother.

"He isn't exactly quiet."

I ground my teeth together, making a mental note to kill Emmett the next chance I got.

"so I guess you know why I'm over here then too."

"you guess correct. But I can pretend I don't. its more fun that way." She smiled at me.

I smiled back.

"I would be honored if you would accompany me to a dinner date this Friday night."

Her eyes darkened slightly at the words but her smile never changed. I felt goosebumps on my skin. My entire body screamed at me to run, but I ignored it.

"I would love to. But not dinner. A movie or, maybe the beach would be nice."

I nodded I agreement. She really said yes! Something ice cold touched my hand for a fleeting second then was gone. She left a blue post-it note on my hand with her name and address.

I smiled.

I couldn't wait for Friday to come.
