She had no idea what the hell it was, but for some reason, people were seemingly compelled to kiss her lately, often for absolutely no reason at all.
Naruto; Well, she understood that, to an extent. He had had a crush on her for a long time, he was bound to try it eventually... So when he did, she just made sure he wouldn't get it in his head that she wanted him to do it again. It wasn't actually that bad, in truth... she wouldn't really mind it if he did it again... but Hinata might get mad, seeing as they were dating now. They were so cute together, like they were meant to be.
Sasuke; He had been a huge disappointment, considering how long she had been waiting for him. He just had to pick right then to kiss her, when her mouth was full of ice cream and she probably looked like a chipmunk with a milk mustache. It was horrible, and she was glad he didn't call her for a second date.
Genma had been fun. He wasn't looking for anything, she wasn't looking for anything, and she had really liked that particular date. He was well-deserving of most of his reputation, she could honestly say, and he was really sweet, as far as most guys went. She wouldn't mind going out with him again... so long as there wasn't any attachment required. She didn't like him that much.
Neji had really surprised her. They barely knew each other, but when you've just pulled a Hyuuga out of critical condition to continue on with the leadership of his clan with nary more than a tiny scar, maybe a kiss was a bit deserved. She still thought it was weird, even though he wasn't bad... maybe a little rough, but that's it.
Lee had been weird too... He'd surprised her first thing in the morning, before she'd had breakfast, with a bouquet of roses and a sweet, tiny peck on the lips. Once again, she'd impressed upon him the need to quit stalking her, as it was getting out of hand and she didn't return his affections. Knowing that that day would be a bad one just from the way it started, Sakura had called in sick for the one and only time that year and went straight back to bed, unwilling to step outside her house. That had been a Monday, unsurprisingly. Bad things always happened to her on Mondays.
Sai had honestly been the only one that had turned out exactly as expected. He'd asked her, somewhat bluntly, if she would help him practice to go and woo Ino. Not having any reason to say no, Sakura had proceeded to give him a lesson, complete with demonstration, right there at Ichiraku's. The flavor of his beef ramen made her absolutely nauseous, because she couldn't stand beef ramen, but otherwise he wasn't half-bad, if a little inexperienced. Apparently you could learn a little something from books... especially when that book was a borrowed copy of Icha Icha.
And now, Kakashi. Her sensei. The one person who honestly should have had more sense, who she shouldn't have had to worry about, had kissed her. It wasn't even on neutral ground either, it was in his apartment. On his bed. She was going home to hide herself under her blankets and refuse to show her face for the rest of her life. At least to him.
The weirdest thing about it was... He wasn't a bad kisser. Quite the opposite, actually, he was a really good kisser. And, he wasn't half-bad looking under his mask. But he was still her sensei, he wasn't supposed to kiss her, and she wasn't supposed to like it even the littlest bit.
Though now, she could say that she didn't really hate the taste of morning breath so much anymore.
