A small tribute to Percy. I think that Jason gets too much credit. All he did was kill Krios. Percy did so much more! Plus, if he can beat Luke and Annabeth, I'm pretty sure Jason shouldn't be able to beat him! Going to be a two-shot !
I stood glaring at Jason. He had pushed me into this. He had taunted and teased and pushed and pulled and he finally got what he wanted. We were going to duel. I glanced up at Annabeth in the stands. She conveyed her plan to me with one look. I played it out in my head. She was right. I could do this. Reyna had run up to us before and made us swear on the River Styx that we would not use our powers. I pulled out Riptide and stood. Jason stood as well. In a fluid motion meant to catch me off guard, he pulled out a sword and lunged. I sidestepped, unfazed. I waited again. I could feel the Romans gawking at me. They weren't used to this. The Greeks just waited. Repeatedly Jason lunged. Repeatedly I dodged. He was confused. He was expecting me to fight. He kept lunging. I took my time. He stepped back for another lunge. This time, my blade caught his. I thought back to my first summer at Camp Half-Blood. I remembered what Luke taught me. I pressured his blade and twisted. It skittered across the arena. Calmly, I put my sword to his arm, slashed a small cut, watching a drop of blood trickle down his arm.
"I win."
