Corona's Birthday

Corona woke up to Penn hovering over her, with a huge smile on his face. She sat up and yawned.

"Happy birthday, my sunshine." He smiled even wider, and then leaned over and kissed her cheek.

She giggled. "Penn~!" she kissed him.

He sighed happily. "I have so many surprises for you today." He smirked at her.

Corona giggled more.

She got out of bed, shed Penn's pajamas, and put on her favorite dress. She did her hair and make-up. (She had to reapply her lipstick though, since she couldn't resist kissing Penn a few times.)

Then, they headed out for a fun day on the town.

Penn took her to all the fun places in Middleburg, and then headed back home.

He covered her eyes.

"So, what's the big surprise?" she slightly giggled

"We're getting there." He slightly laughed, as he gently guided her to the backyard.

He uncovered her eyes. Boone and Sashi, who both looked a little tired, probably from setting up the party, were smiling. The backyard of Penn's house was set up in a party atmosphere, and there were streamers everywhere, in all of Corona's favorite colors, and a banner that read "Happy 16th Birthday Corona".

Corona gasped and smiled widely.

"All of this? For me?" she was smiling bright, and blushing a little.

"You deserve the very best, Corona." Penn smiled at her. He pulled her into a deep passionate kiss, that felt warm and sweet.

Her heart fluttered.

When they broke from the kiss, Penn smiled. "Close your eyes, and turn around."

She did such. She smiled in anticipation. She felt him put a necklace around her neck, and fasten it. He kissed her cheek and smiled.

"Open your eyes."

She opened her eyes.

He had gotten her a locket that had her birthstone, Peridot, on it.

"Open it." He smiled wider.

She did. There was a picture of them together in there. She sighed happily.

"I love it."

He smiled at her, and kissed her forehead.

She closed the locket and and kissed Penn.

He put his hands on her waist and kissed deeper.

In that moment, they were the only ones there. She felt genuinely happy for once.
