Attack at Navea!
Maria smiled as she sat in a meadow on Ventos Prairie, finally able to relax, letting the breeze gently go through her hair. The others were scattered about, chatting among themselves. Darius, Lilliana and Sataka were near her, talking about the advance classes they had taken; they hadn't chosen a second class, choosing the rather delve deeper into their own class. Luther and Sandra were asleep to her far left, Sandras' head on Luthers' chest, and his arms around her. Luthers' claws were sheathed, but Sandra held her staff tightly...she must be alert for danger. Toraka the gunner, Satako the Ronin, and Akina the ravager were behind Maria, talking about a recent competition they had entered a week ago, during the celebration they shared with the Makar's joining. And Maki the bard, with Kavar the Guardian were watching the clouds pass by, simply enjoying the silence. The silence was shatter, for Maria at least, when a voice entered her mind.
"MARIA!" a voice shouted, and Maria shot up straight, shock on her face.
She should be use to it by now, Sachi often spoke to Maria through the mind, she should be use to it.
'What's wrong?!' Maria thought back, realizing it was Alessa, Akanes' Eidolon.
"Please, you must hurry to Navea! Reinhardt...he's...he's-AH!" A scream of pain cut the connection.
"ALESSA?!" Maria shouted, and the others looked at her worried.
"Maria, is something wrong?" Sataka asked, worried.
"We have to hurry to Navea, something terrible happened!" Maria shouted, and shot to her feet, grabbing her sword in the process.
At Navea: Akane cussed as she tries to keep her 'father' far enough so he wouldn't kill her.
"WHY CAN'T YOU JUST MOVE ON AND GET A LIFE MAN?!" she shouted at him as his sword clashed with hers.
Her eyes darted to him then to Alessa, whom was fighting Reinhardt's Eidolon, Aschensturm. She bit her lip, knowing that the Church needed more back up if Navea were not to be destroyed. Maria entered Navea with the others, and gasped in horror as flames and destroyed buildings were everywhere. Guards were escorting citizens out of Navea to keep them safe, but Maria knew they needed to help the others, and she growled, looking at the others.
"Darius, everyone, I need you to help the guards. Fight off any demons that attack the citizens, and protect anyone you can. Stay in groups of two!" Maria stated, and they nodded.
"Agreed! Darius, you and Lilliana work best together. Akina, you and Toraka are better, one close range, and other far range, you know what to do. Katar, you and Sandra always fight together, help anyone who needs it. Maki, you'll be with me, we're going to be needed for healing anyone who needs it. Kavar, you'll go with Satako, you'll be at the front lines. Maria, I take it you'll have your Eidolon's?" Sataka questioned, but she shook her head.
"I'll be with Akane. She's here somewhere, and she needs my help. ...If you see Anya, Alex, Victoria, and Andre, keep them alive! I...I can't bear to lose any of them." Maria stated, before she ran off, calling Quelane out as Sachi disappeared, and she got on Quelanes' back, the serpent roaring as she took to the sky.
She saw Akane close to the fountain, as she fought to keep Reinhardt back, and she growled. Bringing her swords out, Quelane dived toward Reinhardt, Maria crouching to lessen the wind on her. As she got close, she jumped, Quelane disappearing as Sachi reappeared. Reinhardt noticed, looked up, barely dodging Marias' duel-swords aimed for his head. Sachi landed beside Akane, and healed any wounds she had as Alessa was thrown to them by Reinhardts' Eidolon. Reinhardt threw Maria off, Maria screaming as her back made contact with the ground.
"Maria!" Sachi shouted, but Maria jumped up, and jumped to them.
"You okay Akane?" Maria asked the white-haired duelist, and Akane nodded at her.
"Barely but yeah." she looked at her dad.
"Dang it! So close to getting his head chopped off!" she said in a disappointed tone.
Maria sweat dropped at her, and Akane noticed, before she smiled awkwardly.
"Sorry...I just really hate him..." she said before noticing Reinhardt was preparing a spell.
"DUCK!" she said and jumped out of the spell with Mari, both thankful the spell didn't hit them since it blew up the fountain.
"Hm, pathetic that you two must fight together just to face me. This isn't what I expect of my daughter." Reinhardt mocked, a smirk on his face.
"Oh shut up! You seriously think that just because she's your daughter you expect her to be stronger than you? Strength doesn't come from one alone, it comes from friendship!" Maria shouted, and Reinhardt looked at her, before he narrowed his eyes.
"Aside from the time at Candeo Marsh, and when I tried attacking Belenus...I've seen you somewhere before." Reinhardt stated, but Maria seemed confused.
Before he could go further, Sachi hit Reinhardt with a powerful ice spell, her pink eyes burning in rage. Maria was unaware of her past, and if Reinhardt recognized Maria, that was troublesome...she's in more danger than the Eidolon's originally thought. If he became aware that Maria was Aura Kingdoms' heir, Reinhardt would surely try to turn her, or kill her. The Cube of Gaia would immediately react to Maria, and obey her commands. She was in danger if Reinhardt knew. Akanes' eyes widen then ran at Reinhardt then she began trying to slice n' dice him which sadly did not work. Alessa had told her about Maria's past and she cannot not let him know.
"You leave her out of this dad!" she spat cruelly, and then bit her lip as she thought about of what to say next.
"This is...uh… Between you and me!" she said then got in a battle stance.
Alessa, taking a quick glance away from Aschensturm, looked at her Envoy in fear at what she just said. Akane was basically planning on giving up her life in order to protect Maria's secret!
"You think you can defeat me?" Reinhardt sneered, before he laughed, swinging his sword at her, but a pair of duel-swords blocked it, Maria growled from the pressure.
"Reinhardt, I won't let you kill another Envoy!" Maria shouted, before she pushed Akane back, and jumped away herself, and Akane then thought about an idea.
"Double duelist slash" she whispered to Maria, but Maria looked at her confused.
"It's when two duelists confuse their enemy then strike them when they least expect it" she explained with a determined look.
She then began getting what looked like a smoke bomb out of her pocket then slammed it into the ground, knowing that with all the smoke around all they gotta do is confuse Reinhardt to get him. Maria was jumping every which way, the energy Envoy's emit would get caught up in her movements, therefore confuse Reinhardt. Maria could see him looking everywhere, a look on confusion clearly on his face.
'Now!' Maria thought to Alessa, who relayed it to Akane.
The two jumped at Reinhardt, hitting him finally, as he growled out in pain. He skidded back out of the smoke, but neither girl followed. Reinhardt was confused; he didn't understand what the two girls were up to. He had Aschensturm blow the smoke away, but neither girl was there.
"Wha-?!" Reinhardt was shocked, they weren't there.
"UP HERE MORON!" a girls voice shouted, and he looked up, right as two swords slashed downwards, one on the torso, and the other on the back.
"GARH!" Reinhardt growled as he staggered away from the two, his red eyes burning in anger.
Akane high fived Maria, a grin on her face.
"I can't believe that he's THAT stupid" she said with a slight laugh, and Maria nodded in agreement and laughed with her.
"LOOK OUT!" Sachi shouted.
"Eh?" The two girls turned around as a red ball of energy knocked their weapons out of their hands.
Akane and Maria's eyes widen as they looked at Reinhardt. a long pause of silence went by but was soon broken by a certain white haired duelist.
"Damn it!" Akane said, when suddenly, as Sachi and Alessa went to run to their Envoys side, Reinhardt's Eidolon knocked them into a wall.
"Sachi! Alessa!" Maria shouted, before Akane was blown away from Maria.
"AKANE!" Maria shouted, horror in her golden eyes.
She gasped as she looked forward, even as Reinhardt charged her.
"DIE!" Reinhardt shouted, striking, even as Maria closed her eyes, preparing for the attack.
A sword, and shield blocked Reinhardts' sword, and as Maria opened her eyes, she saw it was Andre, and he grunted as he struggled to keep Reinhardts sword at bay.
"MOVE!" Andre shouted at her, and she gasped, jumping away, grabbing her swords in the process, and sliding Akanes' to her as she got up.
Andre threw Reinhardt back, before he jumped back to Akane and Maria, standing between the two.
"What of Anya, Alex, and Victoria?" Maria asked Andre, worried about the others.
"They're with Belenus to protect him with Gus, and I came to aid you two as I saw Reinhardt was attacking you both." Andre said, before he stood, and glared at Reinhardt, who chuckled.
"Still need others help, Andre?" Reinhardt questioned, but Andre only snarled at him.
Akane stood up, secretly bringing out a book from behind her back and glanced at Reinhardt and his Eidolon before shouting.
"Shadow Bolt!" she chanted and zapped them with a lightning bolt to knock them off their feet, and her book glowing red as she chanted another spell.
"Blood Seal!" a ray of red light hit the former Templar, when Maria and Andre turned to her.
"My second class is Sorcerer." she explained to the two and looked at the idiots across from them.
"Maria, if you have a finishing attack I highly suggest using it, now seeing that with his blood sealed in one spot he can't move." Akane explained while looking at her friend with a wink.
"And if he does try to move...I got a little spell that'll show him a thing or two." she stated with a smirk, and then turned to her Eidolon.
"Alessa, Can you help Maria and Sachi with their comb attack?" Akane asked, and Alessa got up and nodded determinedly.
Maria charged Reinhardt with Sachi and Alessa, both following her, glowing with their spirit power. Reinhardt smirked, and before Maria could get much further, a demon came charging at her. Andre gasped, and ran toward them, before using his body to shield Maria, even as the attack hit him.
"ANDRE! " Maria shouted, eyes wide in horror as Andre went flying, but she quickly used her combo, combined with Alessa and Sachi, on Reinhardt, knocking him to the ground.
Maria quickly ran toward Andre, and knelt down to him, looking at him worried.
"Andre, Andre!" Maria exclaimed, unaware demons were surrounding them.
"You idiot, run!" he shouted to her, but she shook her head, before she looked up, panicked, even as Akane got surrounded with her Eidolon by demons.
"I-I can't leave you all!" Maria stated, tears appearing, unaware a blue aura was surrounding her.
"Idiot...this is what he wanted." Andre stated, before he went unconscious, and Maria gasped, her eyes going wide as a flashback happened.
-Flashback- Blurry vision looked down at two bodies, covered in blood, before looking up, only to see someone in black armor. The person raised a sword, but before they could do anything, a blue light covered the area, even as demons tried to surround them. The whole place began to shake, even as the person before her struggled to stand...then everything went black. -Flashback end.-
Maria began shaking...was that...something of her past? Her whole body trembled and pulsed as a blue light slowly came over the area, even as Reinhardt groaned, looking up...the Cube of Gaia? He didn't call for it here...so why was it? Looking around, he saw some of his demons get blown away from someone, and hit the demons the surrounded Akane, even as Maria stood. Was the Cube of Gaia responding to...Maria? He looked at her, seeing the blue light came from her, and saw Andres' wounds heal as power from the Cube was used. She could control it?!
"She can't be...I thought she-!" Reinhardt stopped as he growled, a red aura covering him in his anger, and he charged her.
"I THOUGHT I KILLED YOU!" Reinhardt shouted, realizing who she was...Aura Kingdom's Heir, the Cube of Gaias' true wielder, the Princess of Aura Kingdom.
Akane ran in front of Maria and brought out one of her swords with her grimoire floating beside her.
"Oh not you don't!" she shouted at Reinhardt and aimed her sword as her hand glowed orange.
"Deadly flame wink!" the white haired duelist-sorcerer chanted, and flames gathering on her sword.
When Reinhardt went to swing his sword at her, she quickly slashed her sword across his chest, earning a scream of pain from her enemy.
She glared at him, watching as he staggered backwards a little.
"Whose pathetic now dad? Obviously you, now seeing that your ass just got handed to you by two girls." Akane said with a smirk on her face.
"Now don't you DARE lay a finger on Maria otherwise I'll kill you, right here, right now! and I don't care if it puts me in jail or not! Maria is my friend, and I will not let you hurt her in any way!" Akane said cruelly, her red eyes blazing with anger as she glared at Reinhardt.
Reinhardt glared back at her, his glare mimicking hers, before he thrusted a hand out, and the Cube began shaking, being pulled between two beings. Maria thrusted both hands out, as if she was trying to keep the Cube with her. Marias' eyes were blank, it was obvious she wasn't conscious, or else the Cube would've been with Reinhardt. Reinhardt growled, before his Eidolon rammed Alessa and Sachi into Akane, throwing her to the side, and Reinhardt slashed at Maria, but a sword and shield blocked him again.
"GRAH! Who is it this time?!" Reinhardt shouted, before he saw none other than Astraea, the Guardian Goddess, also known as the Goddess of War.
"I won't let you hurt our Princess!" Astraea shouted, throwing him back, and gust of wind blowing him further.
Suddenly Maria fainted, and Astraea caught her, before the Cube went to Reinhardt, and he growled.
"That's it, I can't afford the Cube to leave my side. Farewell to all...and Akane, we'll meet again, my daughter." He sneered, before he disappeared, the demons disappearing as well.
Akanes' eye twitched, she hated being called his daughter…it was the worse insult anyone could come up with. she shook her head before getting up and walking over to Astraea, a look of concern on her face.
"She used all her power into using the Cube to shield everyone." Astraea commented as she saw how drained the unconscious Maria was.
"What should we do with Maria, if Reinhardt knows who she is now?" Akane asked the Guardian Goddess in a worried tone while Sachi and Alessa slowly came up to her.
"There is nothing we can do, except make sure watch her more closely. Me, and all the other Eidolon's have been watching her...some more closely than others in worry, me being one of them." Astraea stated as she laid Maria down, the young girls wounds healed, even as people re-entered the city.
"I must return to the other Eidolon's and inform them that Reinhardt has figured it out. It won't be much longer until Maria remembers where she's from, and who her real parents are." Astraea said, and giving a small bow, left.
'She was originally human...Astraea was, that is. She was originally Marias' mother, but to protect Aura Kingdom, she sacrificed herself, and became Astraea, the Guardian Goddess.' Alessa told Akane through the mind as Marias' friends ran over, with Anya leading them.
"Are you all okay? How's Maria?" Anya asked worried, even as Andre stood.
"Yeah we're okay but Maria is unconscious." she told Anya with a nod, concern in her voice.
"Is there a doctor nearby to check on her?" Akane asked her, although Maria's wounds had been healed she still wanted to make sure that the older girl was okay.
"There should be...Bishop!" Anya called, hoping he was around, he came running to them.
"Y-Yes, Anya?" He questioned cautious...when Maria was hurt, Anya had a short temper with people.
"Please, heal her." Anya snapped, and Bishop nodded.
Darius and the others were ordered to go around and look for the wounded and get the people back into the city and to their homes safely. They all left, Darius and little slower, before he stopped.
"Can you watch over her?" Darius asked Akane.
"Yes." she replied nodding, then looked at Maria.
If her dad knew that she was the Aura Kingdom's heir, and the Cube of Gaia's true wielder, then she should make it her job to protect Maria. Risky it is, but Maria is her friend; and she will not allow Reinhardt lay a finger on her, father or not. He was an enemy to her and always will be, so if he wanted to get to Maria...he would have to kill her first before doing such… And that will be a challenge…

Okay, so this is from a RP that me and taffybratz did as we were talking about their meeting. This is inspired from the creation page of Aura Kingdom when Reinhardt was attacking Navea. So...anyways, Akane belongs to taffybratz; Maria, Darius, Lilliana, Sataka, Maki, Luther, Sandra, Toraka, Akina, Satako, and Kavar, and the NAME Sachi, Saari, and Quelane belong to me, the rest belongs to Aeria Games.
