It was a rainy day in New York from what Donna had seen from when she returned to Titans tower from her shopping trip.
"So much for the sunny day the weatherman predicted." she said with a sigh, and moved to the counter.
It was quiet at the tower that day. Kory was out shopping, Jesse was working, Vic was out on a date, she didn't know what Toni and Grant were off to and Gar was up to... Something..... That left the founding five titans, and Lian, who were all keeping themselves occupied with various things. Or at least she thought so. Donna hadn't seen anyone in a while now and it was suspiciously quiet now that she thought of it.
Just as she was about to shrug the thought off a blast of air that could only be Wally rushed through, leaving Donna windblown, and random pieces of paper everywhere.
"(Hey! No superpowers!)" she heard someone, who sounded a lot like Roy, whisper from another room followed by a loud 'thwak' and Wally grumbling.
"(How did I get talked into this?)"
"(Shhhh!)"
Over the course of an hour, Donna spotted Wally eight more times, Roy five times, and Garth four, and she spotted Dick once. All were in various spots in the tower. But everytime she spotted one of her teammates were tip-toeing around, checking around corners and over their shoulders, all around acting sneaky. Roy had even put a finger to his lips, gesturing for her to be quiet when she spotted him last and Garth looked like he was nervous of something and ran the other way everything he saw her. Needless to say, she was confused.
"Hi Auntie Donna!" Lian greeted brightly as the amazon princess walked back into the kitchen.
"Hi Lian. What are you up to?" she asked.
The little girl opened a bottom cabinet and peeked in before she answered. "Lookin' for Unca Dick" she said.
"I don't think he can fit in there sweetie. (Well, he can't now at least)" Donna muttered thinking of how small statured Dick was when they had first started the teen titans. Those first couple of years she had seen him squeeze into many small spaces. Frankly it was a wonder he managed to get out of them as well. "Why are you looking for him in there anyways?"
"'Cause he's hidin'" Lian said matter-of-factly "Like Unca Wally and Daddy and Gillhead" Donna's mouth twisted into a grin at the mention of that nickname. Poor Garth.
"Why?" the question had left her mouth before she could stop it. But admittedly the curiousity was killing her.
"We're playin' Hide 'n seek!"
Donna stared dumbly a moment. The image of four grown men, superheroes, hiding from a little girl no less... She couldn't help it, she laughed.
