I was finally able to start the first chapter. Also I am sorry if it took me so long but some comments I received really got to me and made me rethink everything, so I had a hard time writing. Thanks for the wait.

Chapter 1

~ Nanami's P.O.V ~

"Hey Shiro, how much longer till we reach the Hidden Leaf village?" I asked.

"Not long," he said, "You think you can stay awake till we get there?"

"I don't think so," I said and I closed my eyes.

"Shiro! She's burning up," Bandit yelled.

"I'll go faster," Shiro said.

Right now I'm lying on the back of my partner, Shiro. About three days ago my village was attacked and massacred. It's a high possibility that I'm the only survivor of my clan, but that won't stop me from searching.

In case you were wondering my partner is an animal, a wolf to be exact, and my other companion is also an animal, but a ferret. You could say Bandit is more like a pet and a friend.

To make things clear, I am severely wounded and have a fever. Shiro is trying to get me to the Hidden Leaf village so they could help me. The only problems we are facing to get that accomplished is that I don't die and that if I am still alive is to tell them of my clan and its destruction. The problem with that is our clan had been in hiding for over five hundred years. You could say our clan is more of a legend or a myth. The reason for this is because my clan has a special kekkei genkai. This kekkei genkai gives us the ability to copy any genjutsu, taijutsu, and ninjutsu, as well as any and all other kekkei genkai. Its name is the Akuma Kopi-me or Demon Copy Eye.

Since our kekkei genkai was so powerful we were hunted. Our enemies wanted our power, so our ancestors decided to go into hiding where they would be safe. That was till three days ago. It's all thanks to that greedy, power-hungry, snake freak, Orochimaru.

As I started losing consciousness my mind went back to when my village was being massacred.

"Hey Nanami, should we go train?" Shiro asked.

"Why not, I could use some training," I said.

I got up from the porch and walked to the training grounds with Shiro by my side and Bandit on my shoulder. When we got to the training grounds Shiro transformed to his human form, which he only used for training and when needed during battle.

For the past couple of weeks I have been helping him with his fighting while in his human form. And might I say he couldn't have picked a better teacher. I am the most exceed at taijutsu in my clan, and the reason for that is because I've been training non stop since an incident that happened eight years ago. You'll find out more of what happened later on because It's very traumatizing for me.

While Shiro and I were going at it, an explosion went off in the village. I stopped fighting and stared wide eyed at the smoke.

"Shiro, let's go," I said.

"Right," he said.

I had to jump over burning debris and dead bodies. This can't be happening? Questions kept on going through my head till something whizzed past my head.

"Well look what we have here. I remember you."

I turned my head in the direction of the voice and my eyes widened. It can't be! Why the hell is he here? Why must it be Orochimaru? Anyone but him. I cowered in fear. The one person I fear the most just had to be right In front of me. Those snake eyes bore In front to my petrified soul.

Shiro growled beside me while Bandit hid inside my jacket.

"How did you...?" I tried saying.

He smirked and said, "You want to know how I found this place and how I did all this destruction? It's quite easy really. I sent some of my snakes to pinpoint where your hidden village was, then they released this clear poison into the air that starts to paralyze you and diminish your chakra. It was tough developing it and it took too many resources, but it was worth it."

I stood there shocked. He did all this just to get his hands on our kekkei genkai. I dropped to my knees. Not because I was scared but because I couldn't move them.

"I see it's finally taken effect on you," Orochimaru said.

"Is this the work of the poison?" I whispered.

Shiro jumped in front of me to keep Orochimaru away from me. Even Bandit came out of hiding to protect me. That's when I realised something. Both of them can move. How is that possible? They got exposed to the same amount of poison as I did.

"The only downfall to this poison is that it's not permanent and it has no effect on animals," Orochimaru explained.

That makes sense. It's a good thing that the effects aren't permanent, too. While I was kneeling Shiro and Bandit charged at Orochimaru, but failed to land any real hits aside from a few scratches. I noticed that Orochimaru was overpowering them so I used what little strength and chakra I had left and charged. I fused as much chakra as I could into my fists and started throwing punches at Orochimaru. I got in a couple of hits while he got more.

I was about to hit his face when my chakra died out. The next thing I know a sword came out of his mouth and pierced my stomach. Both Shiro and Bandit yelled out my name while the sword retracted and I fell. Orochimaru towered over me and was about to bring down the sword again when someone jumped in front of me and stopped the sword.

"Your not hurting my sister again Orochimaru!" my brother yelled.

"Kenshin!" I whispered in surprise.

He looked down at me and whistled. His partner Tsume, who is also a tiger, jumped to his side and looked where he was looking. He saw me and knew what he had to do. Tsume got me on his back and motioned for Shiro and Bandit to follow. We ended up outside the village where Tsume put me on Shiro's back and told him to get me out of here.

"Shiro, get Nanami to the Hidden Leaf village. They will help her and hopefully what is left of this village," Tsume said.

"On it," Shiro said and started running.

~ Present ~

~ Shiro's P.O.V ~

"Shiro, Nanami passed out!" Bandit yelled.

I tried picking up speed, well going over my limit. I need to get Nanami to the Hidden Leaf village or she will die.

In the distance I could see the Hidden Leaf village. Thank god, I thought. There were two guards stationed at the gate and when they saw us there eyes widened. They both yelled at each other and one of them disappeared. My guess is they went to go get someone. When I stopped in front of the man he grabbed Nanami of my back and looked at her wounds.

"Please help her," Bandit pleaded.

The man looked up and said, "We will… what happened?"

"It's not our place to tell," Shiro said.

"Very well," he said.

While the man was trying to tend to the stab wound I heard stomping and turned my head to see a few people coming this way. I recognized that one guy that was here before, along with a blond haired lady, a silver haired man and two others with masks.

"Kakashi I want you to take her to the hospital," the lady ordered.

"Yes Lady Hokage," Kakashi said picking Nanami up and disappearing.

"You two," the Hokage said pointing at Bandit and I, "You have some explaining to do."

"As long as we can stay be Nanami's side," Bandit said.

"Very well. Follow me," the Hokage said.

We followed her to the hospital where we were able to stay in the room Nanami was in. Bandit jumped up on the bed and layed by Nanami's side while I sat on the floor.

"I am the fifth Hokage and my name is Tsunade, what are your names?" the Hokage asked.

"I'm Shiro and he's Bandit," I said.

"Her name is Nanami, correct?" Tsunade asked.

"Yes," I said.

"Mind explaining what happened to her and why you mad you way the the Hidden Leaf village?" she asked.

"It's not our place to tell, but I'll explain close to what happened. Our village was attacked and Nanami got hurt, our superior told us to get her out and find the Hidden Leaf village. That was three days ago," I explained.

"You ran for three days to get here?" Kakashi asked.

I nodded my head yes. I could feel my eyelids falling. I guess all that running after a fight is starting to take it's toll on me.

"Why don't we let you rest. We'll continue this tomorrow, alright," Tsunade said.

I closed my eyes when they all left and shut the door. I fell asleep while thinking of what happened to our village.

What do ya think so far? Please comment.
