The fireworks exploded with a resounding BOOOOM!! An innocent giggle was heard every once in a while, but mostly there were shouts of extreme pure elation. It was dusk on the fourth of July in Bourne Texas. It was the annual fireworks display showing in Kendall County Park and the air was just alive with excitement.

Red, blues, green, and gold all illuminated the sky in a wonderful display of pyrotechnic genius. Some of the lights even looked like little faeries dancing across the sky, while other made themselves the star of the show with large displays of color.

Sora watched in awe as the colors sprouted forming new patterns and shapes. He was glad he had come. A friend of theirs had suggested they come because of this. They had met up with her earlier as she was setting her own fireworks on fire. And especially glad at with whom he decided to come with.

Riku snaked an arm around Sora's slim waist and squeezed it softly as they sat on the roof of their friend's blue car. Her friends and she were sitting on the floor watching the fireworks with extreme interest.

"The colors are so beautiful", he whispered as he stared up.

"Not quite as beautiful as you are", replied Riku, grinning like a fool.

Sora game him a light push as he stared back up into the dark sky, streaked with some clouds and dotted with tiny stars.

"Those look like dandelions", Sora said pointing up to the golden fireworks that exploded one right after another.

The finale had started.

Riku reached his hand into his jeans' pocket and pulled out a silver band. Sora was still watching as a dozen fireworks went off. Riku tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention and showed him the ring. Sora's eyes almost fell out of his sockets.

"Sora, I've known you for almost all of my life. We've been through all kinds of hell and had our moments of extreme joy. I've been in love with you the whole time. And you've loved me back. Even when I was so undeserving of it. Sora, will you marry me?"

Tears came to the brunet's eyes and he smiled. The girls and guys who had been sitting around the car looked up to the two on the car top. They started to grin and chant "Say yes! Say yes!"

"How can I argue with that", Sora asked. "Of course!"

Riku slipped the ring onto Sora's slim finger and grabbed him around the neck. They kissed slowly and sweetly as the final firework blew up. A golden one that remained in the sky, pieces gently falling to the earth to make a willow like effect. The teenagers down below all cheered happily and hugged each other. There were shouts of congratulations and praise.

The perfect ending to the perfect night.

PA: I hoped ya'll liked it! I loved the fireworks. It was so great. Although I was surprised I didn't burn down anything at that...Probably because I didn't have a lighter. Or fireworks. Oh well...

DA: Thanks again! Have a nice day!!
