Another Pokemon poem! This time, it is about Solrock. Boring Pokemon, right? NO! It's currently my 15th favourite. It is NOT boring!
Anyway. This is about Solrock, and how it wishes that Meteor Falls could be filled with sunlight. But since that wish cannot come true, it does all it can.
Rain from the Sun
Bright sunlight,
Streams of brightness
Shafts, arrows of gold
Raining down
-
A sea of light
At the eve of the sun
Below the earth,
At the edge of the waterfall.
-
A dream.
-
Looking up, I drink it in
The warmth, the comfort—
It has been a long, cold night.
-
And finally, the moment has come
That moment when it falls
When it can reach into my world,
This world of darkness—
-
The light of the sun.
-
The sun is the source of life
A blinding, burning beacon
That flames with power
With an unspeakable beauty
-
Here in the cave
In this inky depth,
Where darkness reigns,
The chance is so narrow
The chance for sunlight
-
I must take that chance!
That one minute,
When the sunlight slants perfect
When my world is suddenly a sea of light
When the rain from the sun falls,
Falls on the cavern floor
-
For that one minute,
I can see all the beauty.
The rivers of light that I want,
That I need to watch,
To admire
-
-
-
Then, it leaves.
The sunlight fades.
Dipping below the world's edge
And my world is in blackness again.
-
Cold, deep, blackness.
-
It's so dark, almost unbearable.
So frigid, here in a world
Hidden from the upper light,
Hidden from all joy, from all hope
-
So I shine for them
Taking whatever light I can
Standing in the rain of the sun
-
And at night,
In the perpetual night of this lower world,
When everything is cold and black,
-
I shine for them.
Okay, that was doen on 20 minutes. Sighs. Didn't come out quite as nicely as I envisioned. But well, it IS pretty much as good as I can do. Review!!
