Scene 2
Backround music: When the shit goes down by Cypress Hill. Shot of a girl named Erika Prescott putting her hair in a messy ponytail in her room. The phone rings and she moves over to pick it up.
"Hello?" she answers as she straightens her crinkled t-shirt.
"Hey Erika. It's Juni. Turn on the news!" he commands with a note of panic in his voice.
"Um ok don't have a cow!" she reaches for the remote and turns on the T.V. "Mother gives birth to a baby in bank heist? Yeah. real emergency!"
"Put it on channel 6," he replies seeming a little annoyed.
"Oh my god." Erika gasps as she reads the story on the news.
"The mother of Steven Orith, who was brutally murdered 14 years ago along with his girlfriend Casey Becker, came home last night to find her youngest son hanging from the roof of their house next to his girlfriend Lucy Matherson," said the reporter on the T.V.
"Can you believe it? It's like your mum's life all over again!" Juni exclaimed. Erika went silent as she remembered everything she had heard about her mother's gruesome life.
"Aw Er I didn't mean it like that," he sighed. "I'm sorry."
"That's ok I've gotta learn to deal," she replied. She turned off the T.V. and went back to straightening her t-shirt.
"So what's on the agenda for today?" she asked as she tugged at her shirt furiously.
"Uh. Erika wake up doofus! We have to work on our assignment for English! That's why I called," he reminded her.
"Oh I'm such a shit! I soooooo forgot! I have a date to go to the movies at one. I'm sorry," she gushed.
"I guess we could do it tomorrow. Who's your date?" teased Juni. "Darak Brady. What am I going to do? I don't even like him. I just felt sorry for him so I said yes," she cried. "You know what? I would much rather spend the day with mah homey then with some stanking ass smelly old boy who thinks he's good enough for the Prescott biatch!"
"Now there's some of the Sidney coming out. There's the Erika I know and love. Meet you at the library in 15 minutes?" he questions.
"Race ya!" she challenged.
She hangs up the phone and leaves the room. Close up of the window. The killer in the Ghost costume pops up out of the side of the road and runs into the bushes.
