AN – Here it is! The sequel to The Early Years. Chances are that this is going to offend some people. But that's not my intention. This is an AKUROKU story, not about a real person. Right after I watched Fahrenheit 9/11 I got this idea. Don't be offended. Read, be emotional, and review.

Rating – T for theme I guess.

Roxas sighed, bored in class yet again. His twin, Sora, looked over at him worriedly. Roxas looked at Sora and smiled, flashing him a peace sign. Sora went back to talking with Riku while Roxas stared down at his cell phone.

The blond picked up the little electronic device that his world revolved around and texted Axel, his lover for two years and best friend for eleven.

'I'm bored.'

Roxas let his head fall onto the desk. He didn't even bother looking up when his teacher rushed out of the room after the phone had rung. Sora looked over at his twin again and sighed.

When their teacher rushed back into the room, she turned the tv on and stared, with her hands covering her mouth. She had unshed tears in her eyes and a faint trail of shed ones.

Roxas looked up and felt his phone drop from his hands. On the tv, the World Trade Center was shown, the screen covered with smoke. Axel was in there.

Roxas stumbled to his feet and ran out of the room, Sora calling his name. The blond didn't look back, he just kept running, feeling the tears make their mark on his face.

Axel was resilient; he couldn't be killed by fire. He had drilled that into the blond boy's head long ago.

When Roxas arrived at the scene, the firemen and police tried to stop him. They tried to grab him and stop him from entering the building. Roxas faught with all of his might to get past them, but they grabbed onto him and forced him to the ground.

"Where is he?!" Roxas cried. "You don't understand! My boyfriend is in there! You've got to let me go in!"

The firemen looked down at the teenager sadly. "We've gotten survivors out and they're on their way to the hospital right now. If your boyfriend survived, he'll be at the hospital."

Roxas wrenched himself from their grips and ran to the hospital.

The blond burst through the doors, shocking a few of the nurses. They looked at him and he ran over to one.

"I'm looking for Axel Minura! Please, he's got to be here!" Roxas cried.

The nurse walked behind the check-in counter and looked through papers. She nodded and told the blond that he was in room 813.

Roxas cried out and dashed up the stairs to the eighth floor.

"AXEL!"

The redhaired twenty-four year old looked up to see his blond lover launching himself at him. Axel smiled and wrapped his arms around his sobbing counterpart.

"I thought.. I thought you died!"

"Come on Roxy, I can't be killed." Axel smirked, but when Roxas looked up into his emerald eyes, he could tell the blond didn't believe him. "Ok Blondie. I wasn't even in the building. When I got out of my car, I realized I didn't have my phone, so I doubled back and got it. The planes hit before I even entered. I'm fine."

Roxas hugged the older man tighter. "Don't you ever.. Don't you ever leave me."

Axel clung to the younger boy tightly. "I promised I'd always be here; that'd I'd never let go. I have every intention of fulfilling that promise."

Roxas smiled and drifted off to sleep, holding onto Axel like his life depended on it. And in all honesty, it did.
