She could see, in the distance, a large body of water. Gentle ripples covered the surface and a small pier protruded out of the ground to hover above the liquid on slilts. Swaying slightly to silent music in her head, the dark woman stepped onto the pier.

She lifted the doll in her arms to her ear, listening hard. Something was here, she knew. The stars had spoken and there was something she must see. Letting her gaze travel skyward, she took a moment to stare at the twinkling stars above. A voice spoke to her urgently, telling she must look. She must see what was happening. She gripped her precious doll tighter and looked across the lake.

On the shore farthest away she could see children playing in the dark. All girls, sitting at tables with tea sets. Something was wrong. Narrowing her eyes, she finally realized what was missing. Not a single girl carried a doll. Not a single chair held a doll. Tilting her head, she listened carefully to the doll in her arms. Nodding, she stepped closer to the water. There, she looked into it's surface.

Past the ripples and deeper down she saw the most terrifying sight. Gripping the doll in her arms tighter, she released a ear splitting scream.

"Bloody hell!" Spike exclaimed, rolling over in bed. Spike grabbed the shoulders of the female vampire next to him and shook. "Dru! Drusilla, wake up!"

"Ohhhhh." Drusilla moaned, her eyes blinking open. A single, blood coated tear trailed down her cheek. "Oh, it was horrible."

"What happened? Did you see something? What is it?" Spike spouted off, pulling the now crying vampire into his arms.

"They couldn't breathe, Spike." Drusilla whispered in a haunted voice. "All under the water, drowned, dead, and unable to tell their secrets."

"Who, luv?"

"All of them." Drusilla answered. "Horrible, horrible night. Bad humans, bad children. They placed them in the deep, deep liquid."

"Placed who in the liquid?" Spike asked, trying not to lose his patience.

"It was Drowning Dollie Day." Drusilla replied in a voice threaded with pain and horror.
