A Terrible Accident

Ezri Dax regarded Elim Garak with sympathy. The poor man had gotten into the Airlock again. He was vainly banging against the door, crying to be let out.

"Garak," the counselor called softly.

He ignored the call and continued his attempts to escape.

"Garak," Ezri said in a much louder voice.

He looked at her with wide, frantic eyes. "Help me!" he cried.

She carefully opened the inner door and stepped through to assist him. "It's alright," she told him soothingly. The Trill offered him her hand, and he wrapped his own around it.

Suddenly, the Cardassian tossed her hard against the wall. She sprawled and watched, stunned, as he calmly exited and shut the inner door.

Garak regarded the insipid, pathetic, little woman. "Julian is mine," he hissed. Then, he triggered the outer door.

For a moment, the Cardassian regarded the empty Airlock with a nasty smile. Finally, he called Security.

Elim Garak's voice was horrified, as he cried, "Constable, come quick! There's been a terrible accident!"

That's what I call ELIM-inating the competition.
