Your Stories, My Alibis
In a quiet house in Forks, Washington Police Chief Swan was just leaving for work while his daughter, Bella, was upstairs in her room. Bella was listening to her music quietly. The song she was listening to was Your Stories, My Alibis by Matchbook Romance, which happened to be the only song that had been bearable to listen to for six long months.
Cross out my eyes
(I know you planned it)
You know I love you
(And I can't stand it!)
We just lost control
We just lost control
She was staring intently into her mirror, thinking about the worst day of her life: the day Edward Cullen left. Thinking his name no longer hurt. She no longer had to clutch her sides to keep herself together at the thought of him. It didn't hurt, but it made her unbelievably sad to know that her one true love never loved her. Bella figured Alice had a vision about what she was about to do, but she also knew that Alice had saw what she had become without Edward so she wouldn't interfere.
Give me something worth living for
Tell me a reason worth fighting for
Give me anything, anything to keep me breathing
Bella was thinking about all the times Edward had said he loved her, and how much bullshit that was. She understood that sometimes you think you're in love, but its just physical attraction and then you find someone better. That's how it was for Edward. For Bella, it was completely different. She never wanted to love anyone else. Edward was all she ever wanted and now that she didn't have him, life wasn't worth living.
Cross out these days
On your calendar
It hurts me so much
And I'm not quite sure
I care anymore
I care anymore
Bella had already written a note for Charlie explaining why she was choosing that choice.
Dear Dad,
Just know that I love you. This isn't your fault. It's not Edwards fault either so don't blame him. It was my fault. I was in love with someone who didn't love me back. I took the relationship too seriously when we were only having fun. Please don't blame yourself. I love you and always will. If you ever see Alice again, tell her she was a great friend. Tell Angela she was the best friend a girl could have.
Love always,
Bella
Bella had written and re-written it until she thought it wouldn't get any better. She really did feel that way and wasn't only trying to comfort him. She set the note on her bedside table, turned up her music, and slashed her wrists. She was grateful for the music because it covered up the sounds of her sobs. She felt nauseous as her wrists bled, but it didn't get to her too much because of all the adrenaline coursing through her body, which made her bleed more, and quickly. Her last coherent thought as she lay in a pool of her own blood was I would always love you, Edward. And with that, her long dead heart stopped beating.
[A/N]In loving memory of my best friend forever and ever Arianna. I still miss you terribly.
