This one'll be really quite short and probably not much to it. I'm just writing it as a fun scenariobut kept it christmas themed. Enjoy it! HELena_WAY_ieRO
Light hurried down stairs, smiling. His best friend, sadly the one aiming to put him behind bars, was too busy focusing on the kira case too notice the date. Light had found the key to their hancuffs a few weeks ago but never saw the purpose to leave L's side. Although L probably wouldn't admit it, they had become very close over the investigation. Light felt it wouldn't be right if he didn't sort something out for this day.
L lay in bed staring at the ceiling. Obviously he would notices Light's departure from the bed as he was used to the comforting warmth against his back. L watched as Light quietly skipped out the room with a grin on his face. After evaluation, he decided to see what Light was planning; the building was in lock down anyway so he couldn't leave. This would be interesting for the investigation...
Light ran back towards his and L's bedroom when he was satisfied with how he had done. L hadn't moved an inch but Light could see he was still breathing so he slid back under the covers and close to L. The metal andcuff went back at around his wrist and he hugged L.
About an hour later L decided to awaken. He and Light had been pretending for the whole time but Light didn't know L was awake. Once L had sat up he looked at Light lying beside him and tried to figure out what he had done. Not much sound could be heard. Maybe all Light had wanted to do was have some alone time to pleassure himself as it had been so long. Why couldn't I come and watch or help? L asked himself. He had grown real emotion towards Light that he had not experienced before. Some people would say it was love but L wasn't sure; he decided to just go with what happened for once.
"Good morning Ryuzaki."
"Good morning Light."
"Do you mind if we get breakfast straight away? I'm really hungry." L raised an eyebrow but nodded anyway. This was very suspicious. L was thinking Light had set a trap but found it confusing when Light walked in front. As they turned the corner to the stair case L stopped walking and instead stood in shock.. Light looked at him and found it hard to stop smiling.
Light had put up a christmas tree and decorated it. There were also loads of presents everywhere.
"Oh my god Light!" He flew down the stairs with Light close behind. Light was giggling as he was so happy at the reaction he was getting. L's voice had gone the highest Light had ever heard. They sat together and Light handed L presents, smiling as he watched him open them enthusiasticly.
The largest one hidden at the back of the tree was last. L stood above it and began to take away the wrapping paper. In side the large box was an asortment of L's favourite sweets. His eyes were wide and couldn't stop smiling.
"Wow Light. Thank you." He smiled at the auburn haired boy and hugged him. Light held L back but his heart was beating faster; it was very unexpected. L could feel Light's heart through his chest and had a guess at what that meant. Taking a chance, L moved his head back and looked at Light who did the same. Their faces moved closer until their lips touched and moved together. Light swore he would never forget that taste of so many sweets through L's tongue. When they moved back away both were smiling.
"You feel the same?"
"I guess I do. Merry christmas Light."
"Merry christmas L."
