This is a poem I wrote based on all the Fire Emblem Fates games over a year ago from Corrin's point of view if they were more aware of the effects of their choices. Like, fourth-wall breaking, timeline sensing aware. I originally posted a youtube comment with this, but I figured I'd post it here as well. Anyway, enjoy. :) And please review and favorite if you like it.

I've chosen Hoshido and I've picked Nohr.

Then, why am I fighting anymore?

Both paths found peace, But, what for?

The lives of many were lost to war.

Xander, Elise, Ryoma, Takumi.

All of them are so dear to me.

For all of them, I have cared.

And though they can...all be spared,

depending on what I choose.

I'll never win, I'll always lose...

People always die, I can't save them all...

And there is one, who'll always fall.

She'll sacrifice her own life.

All so we'd be free from strife.

She'd sing her song and all along... It was killing her inside.

But, she'd always try to hide...

The pain and say she's fine.

"This burden can only be mine.

I promise I'll be here for a long time yet."

And even though we just met...

As you broke apart,

you left me with a broken heart.

Whoever I choose, no matter what I do...

I know I can't save you.

So, I will find another way.

Just like you'd always say.

I have the power to change fate, I'm like the ocean's flowing waves.

Azura, I will save

you, no matter what it takes!

(So that we can meet again, like always, by the lake.)
