A/N: I recently played the game Oblivion so this became a little plot bunny in my head after I beat the part with the destruction of Kvatch. Enjoy!

The captain of the Kvatch knights raised his sword and shield shifting into a fighting stance.
His fellow knights followed suit, their trepidation permeated the air as an onslaught of daedra burst from the Oblivion gate and poured into the city.
Salvian Matius sent a silent prayer to The Nine Divine that they would succeed in defending the city from the inhuman enemies.
He could not anticipate how many enemies lie ahead of them.
He figured probably hundreds of them would swarm the city he had sworn to protect.
Around, him buildings crumbled.
For Kvatch, they would fight 'til death!
