Intermission: Begin

I: Droog, Take Him Out

Inhale... Exhale...

Inhale... Exhale...

Control your breathing... This is a one-time job - as most of them always are - that you really cannot afford to screw up... One bullet, one shot - miss this, and they'll know who it was...

Right before him was the building, the detectives office; their main headquarters... Here he knelt, across from them in an old worn down building that was just crumbling and falling to pieces... Dangerous enough as it is, he was pretty high up in this abandoned building, only here for one thing... to take out the Inspector. Here, he knelt before them in a window on story above the Inspector's office, peering through the scope of his weapon. Adjusting here and there, he cocked it, and began to aim.

Inhale... Exhale...

Lining up the shot, he took another breath, waiting to hear the beeping from his watch. As he watched who he believed was the Pickle Inspector, he began to study a bit closer. Strange... The man's not fidgety; isn't skittish... With a high suspicion tugging at the good of his mind, he began to think to himself more, zooming in with the scope that was diligently placed on his weapon of choice. This man's still... too still... Like a puppet with it's strings cut... Zooming in, he began to study that character more, only stopping in a moment to realize that the Inspector wasn't there. His suspicion was correct, that was a god damn puppet. Pulling away from his weapon, he starred wide-eyed at this situation for a long moment, where was the damned Inspector!?

As he pulled away from the shot, he froze to hear the voice right behind him, a gun cock and pressed against the back of his head. In a steady, even tone, he heard the man speak, one word that still surprised him the most by who it was spoken from.

"F- Freeze..."

Yes, before you ask or beg, I do plan to continue this one on. It's just a snippet, a starter if you will to get things going and make it interesting. I have a few others that I am currently working on, like another Intermission Basis called 'Drawing Dead'
