Sara Sidle walked down the hall of the Las Vegas Crime Lab Headquarters. Checking her watch it was a quarter after 8pm. Where was everyone? She thought as she continued down the hall to the break room. She peered her head in to find Catherine, Warrick, and Nick all watching a small TV. Sara rolled her eyes annoyed by their lack of work. "Don't you think we should be catching up on crime reports instead of sitting around watching cartoons?" She said leaning on the doorway wall crossing her arms.
Catherine looked up from the newspaper. "Good evening to you too Sara," She said bitterly with a lingering grin on her face.
"Hey there not cartoons, it's the news." Warrick scowled.
Sara shook her head walking in over to the coffee pot pouring her a mug.
"Look, Johnson got sentenced for life." Warrick said engrossed with the TV.
They all looked at the TV and listened for a minute silently before Sara spoke.
Sara smirked pleased. "Good, he deserves it after he murdered his wife and kids."
"True." Catherine said looking back down to her paper. Warrick and Nick nodded agreeing.
Sara walked over and sat down beside Nick and Warrick. "Can tonight get anymore exciting then this?" She mumbled.
Grissom walked in holding a pile of files in his arms.
"Guess so." Nick commented nudging Sara. Grissom glared at the bored group.
"I see you four look very busy right now, maybe I should come back later?" He said with a smirk on his face. They all looked at him. Sara stood up.
"What do you have for us?" She said walking over. Grissom handed her a crime report.
"Melanie Adams, 19 year old, just graduated from high school last year. She was found dead in her dorm this afternoon." He said handing the others a copy as they all circled around them. "You all can go, I see you have nothing better to do then sit here and watch cartoons." He commented heading out.
"There not cartoons!" Warrick grumbled. Sara smiled and couldn't help but laugh along with Catherine.
"Just an educated guess, Brown, nothing more," Grissom stated and left.
Warrick gave them all a confused look. "What's that suppose to mean?"
