Out of the Darkness
I OWN NOTHING!!
"No, no, no," I screamed inwardly, running as fast as I could toward the colorful platform in front of me. A thud reverberated up through my body as the giant Nobody, who had posed such a threat earlier, fell off the tower, defeated. With growing horror I realized that he was directly beneath the rapidly collapsing form. "Even if you don't have any memories of our time together I will save you," I chanted to myself over and over as I reached the edge of the pool of darkness that was consuming the tower. I could see him flailing around, trying to escape the tendrils of darkness that were slowly creeping over his body. I leaned as far over as I could and clutched his wrist tightly. I quickly surrounded him with my light to fully rid him of any of the remaining tendrils of darkness. Swiftly pulling him out of the corrosive darkness, I let my light blind him as I teleported us both back to my room in the Twilight Town mansion.
"Nami...ugh," he muttered before slumping over my long white table, knocking over my tray of colored pencils I used to sketch. Gasping, I quickly checked his pulse. Nobodies may not have a heart but we do have a pulse, after all our blood still has to circulate somehow. I breathed a sigh of relief when I felt the dull thud of his pulse against my fingertips. "You may not be supposed to exist, but I'm sure glad you do," I whispered to him softly. He stirred a bit, but never regained consciousness. I maneuvered him into a sitting position, not waking him up because I wanted him to relax and sleep for the first time in several days. Sketching to pass the time, I nearly jumped out of my seat when I heard him groan. Peering around my white flowery centerpiece, I noticed that he was finally waking up. Sighing, I put away my sketches and prepared myself to crush all his hope, at least temporarily. In the end he would understand, but right now...
"Roxas...," I began, fervently wishing he never had to hear these horrible things but leaving him in the dark was something I simply could not do.
