A/N: This simple little piece of fluff was written with two specific RH characters in mind but I have left it deliberately vague so you can decide for yourself who is being talked about. Works for almost any pairing, as long as one half of the couple is male. Doesn't even have to be Robin Hood characters...

A moment...
He slowly closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, wanting to commit every last detail of this moment to his memory.
Sounds...the crackling and spitting of logs on the fire, the gentle rhythmic creaking of the bed as their bodies slowly move in tandem upon it, the soft groans and panting breath of his lover, matched by his own gasps of pleasure and passion.
Smells...faint aroma of bread and meat, their evening meal, taste of wine still on his lips, hints of lavender and soap from their bath, the musky, delicious, intoxicating smell of how much his lover is aroused by him and the familiar smell of his own need, their scents mingling together as their bodies do likewise.
Above all the feeling...soft linen under his knees and against the tops of his feet, a gentle trickle of sweat running down into the small of his back, hip bones pressing up in ecstasy into the palms of his hands, the slight friction of bare skin against bare skin where their bodies meet. And the warmth...beating on his side from the roaring fire to his left, radiating into and out from his fingertips, folded intimately around him, holding him captive both in body and soul.
"What are you thinking?"
He wonders what has prompted the question then realises he is grinning like an idiot. He replies without opening his eyes, "How perfect this moment is, how good you feel around me...how much I love you..."
"Good answer."
He laughs as the moment passes, always to be remembered and frequently to be played out again - in different places and at different times but always with the same skin under and around him, holding him closer than he ever thought he could be to another.
He opens his eyes as his lover draws him down to start another moment with a soft kiss. "Very good answer."
