SVU Elliot & Olivia FanFic

Chapter 1

Benson and the captain were the only ones still in the office in their department. She's sitting at her desk in the dark wondering how Elliot and his family are doing and how much has changed since she had been kidnapped. Benson starting wondering what he would have done if he had found out that she was kidnapped even though they haven't been partners for almost three years since he left the Special Victims Unit. Would he do anything at all? Would he follow the law? Has his temper changed? Why didn't anyone tell him that she got kidnapped? Does he even think of her or ever plan to see her again? They were best friends before he left and they did go through a lot of stuff before he left. They went from secretly knowing they were in love with each to nothing.

Cragen comes out and puts on his jacket, shuts off the lights, and shuts the door. When he turns around to leave, he realizes that Olivia was sitting in the dark and tearing up.

Cragen: (walking up to her desk) what's wrong Olivia?

Olivia: (wiping her tears away) just thinking about how much has changed since Elliot left. I never thought my life this way. I'm in love with a great guy but at the same time I miss Elliot like he was my first love.

Cragen: I know you love Elliot. You guys went through a lot of shit. But, El has been married to Kathy for a long time and has five kids with her. And to tell you the truth, in all the years I've known you, being with Brian has made the happiest I ever seen you. In the 12 years you were partners with Elliot, I ever saw you that happy. Whatever happened between you and Cassidy when he was on the team and Stabler was still here anyway?

Olivia: we just had a one night stand. Did anyone ever tell Elliot what happened to me?

Cragen: I haven't talked to him since the day he gave me his papers. Maybe you can ask Fin or Munch tomorrow if they've seen or talked to him at all.

Olivia: to tell you the truth… when I was in that room tied to the bed, I was praying that Elliot would help you guys find me before he killed me. I wanted him to be able to hold him and say thank you like when he got shot or when I was taking Kathy to the baby doctors and we got into the car accident. I don't get my feelings towards him at all.

Cragen: (gets up and walks toward the doors) call him tomorrow, meet up with him, and try to figure out your feelings or you're never going to be happy. (Stops & turns to her) For now Olivia, go home and sleep with your fiancé.

Olivia: (gets up and gets her coat off the back of her chair) alright captain. Good night.

Cragen: Good night.

Olivia walks out of the squad room with Cragen to go home.

Chapter 2

Olivia is holding her cell phone, hesitating to call Elliot like the Captain said she should. She knows Cragen's right but doesn't know if she is ready after all she's been through.
