Eren stood outside of Captain Levi's quarters, the dark of night peered through the windows of the castle and rain pattered softly outside. The quiet sounds were comforting and made it easier to think, and what he pondered was why Levi had summoned him in the first place.
"Eren," the undeniable voice interrupted Eren's thoughts. Eren looked down and met the shorter man's clouded gaze. Levi turned and walked into his room, his actions clearly telling Eren to follow, and as soon as Eren did the captain locked the door behind them swiftly.
Eren looked around the room nervously, and after a few moments passed he couldn't help but ask: "Captain, why did you call me here? Has something happened?"
He looked into Levi's eyes again, expecting him to be irritated with him in some way, but Levi still showed no visible emotions. Instead more actions explained what words couldn't.
Levi had closed whatever space was between them and locked his arms around Eren's neck. Their lips were centimeters apart, and their breath collided. Eren, his eyes wide with shock at the unexpected manuever, let out a gasp. What was Levi doing? They'd never shared any intimacy before...
"Er... Levi?" he said.
Levi pressed their mouths together, at first it was awkward, they didn't know what to expect of one another, but soon they had one another memorized. Eren slid into the kiss and clutched at his captain's shirt, his lips parting slightly. Levi's fingers twisted into Eren's hair, and they held one another until they had to pull away for air.
"Did that explain enough, brat?" Levi muttered.
Eren said nothing, and nodded. It had explained a lot to him, he had not expected to care for his captain in this way... sure, Levi was his corporal and his Squad Leader, and he did care for him, but only now did he realize how quickly his heart pounded at the sound of Levi's voice. Only now did his body long for Levi's fingers to carress him longer, and his lips to clasp his again.
Cautiously, and still thinking this might be a weird dream or something, Eren slid his arms around his captain's waist and held him in an embrace. Levi's response was placing his head on Eren's shoulder.
"Don't expect this to happen often, moron. I was debating whether or not to even call you down to my quarters, I didn't expect you to react this way," Levi grunted.
Eren pulled away from the embrace, his cheeks warm now that he knew Levi would be watching his face more carefully. Levi smirked but didn't comment on it as he walked towards a small bed in the middle of the room and lay down. He looked at Eren expectantly, raising an eyebrow. That was obviously a hint...
Still crimson red, Eren followed him slowly and sat next to him. He opened his mouth to say something, but no words came out. Again he listened to the soft patter of the rain outside. "Eren," Levi murmured.
Eren glanced down at his captain, only just realizing how exhausted he looked.
"Not a word to anyone about this, or I might just have to smack you around like I did the day I saved your ass in court," Levi finished his sentence before drifting into the world of sleep.
Eren smiled and stood, leaving to his room. Knowing that these feelings that stirred between him and his captain, would stay between them in their little world they created together in that moment.
