Rain splattered her face, soaking her hair and suit. Her open wounds stung in the pouring rain, making her feel like a hundred needles were poking into her flesh. She struggled to remain upright and conscious, fighting a war between black spots dancing across her vision and the goal in her mind: Get to the tower. Limping, she went as fast as she could towards the t-shaped building. She had about two more brief seconds of consciousness, and then collapsed, hitting the ground hard.
"Aww, but Cyborg-"
"No 'buts' Beast Boy, If something goes wrong with her, then Robin's gonna have a fit. Besides, you're probably just going to prank me anyway."
"What? Me? I'd ne-"
"Uuuggghhh... owwwwww," The girl moaned and opened her eyes groggily, squinting against the white of the room. Her eyes adjusted, and she saw two figures, one smaller than the other, looking at her in surprise.
"Uh, Robin? I think she's awake now, the shorter one said, turning towards a figure leaning against the wall. Two girls stood in the doorway as well, watching warily. The figure against the wall turned to look at her, and she got a good look at his face. He had short, spiky hair, a black mask, and a serious expression on his face. He's kinda cute, she thought as he approached where she was.
"How are you feeling?" he asked, a note of true concern in his voice.
"I'm ok, I think," the girl said.
"Who are you, anyway?" He inquired, looking at her curiously.
"Me? My name is Jay."
