Look at me. It drives Dean's waking thoughts.
He's tried both small-talk and silence for weeks, trying to heal Sam's distance and pain. But the miles don't matter— time doesn't, Dean doesn't. Sam's as angry as he is distraught. He never wanted to come back.
The next town or case might change things. It hasn't yet— Sam still clings to that life where Dean never belonged.
Are you mad at me? Most days Sam acts like Dean's not there.
God, I missed you.
Four years later it isn't over. Sam's finally here beside him, but Dean's as lonely as before.
