A/N: Ok, I decided to do a story for Leven Thumps because there aren't very many. What would happen if Winter decided to leave home early? She finds Leven at the age of 12 and not 13. And Clover finds Leven when Lev is 13 instead of 14. Clover brings a small book that has Leven's name on it. So what do the characters do? They read it of course.
Disclaimer: I do not own Leven Thumps or any of the characters. All rights belong to Obert Skye.
Reading Leven Thumps
Prolog
"Hey, you!" Terry Graph shouted at Leven. "Where are you going?"
"I am going to the library. You told me to get good grades." Leven replied softly, looking at his purple-faced guardian.
Terry was speechless for a moment as his color returned to normal. "Fine then. Just be back by seven." he snapped, heading to the TV.
With that, Leven left the small, cramped space and started walking the short distance to the library. While he was walking, many people stopped and stared. Leven wasn't surprised. The white streak in his hair only got brighter every day.
While Leven was walking, a young girl by the name of Winter was doing the same thing, only in a different direction. She was walking toward Leven, followed by a small cat-like creature.
When Leven spotted them-or rather her, as Clover was not showing himself-he was confused. They were walking directly toward him.
When the strange girl reached Leven, she stopped and appraised him. He was tall and scrawny, with bright brown eyes and dark hair with a brilliant white streak on the right side.
"Hello," Leven said a look of confusion on his face.
"Hello. My name is Winter," the messy haired girl replied. "Who are you?"
"Leven. My name is Leven." Leven replied hastily as he studied the girl. She was small and appeared to be very young, 11 or 12 maybe. She had long, messy, pale blond hair and sparkling emerald green eyes. She had chubby cheeks and wore strange clothes.
"Where are you headed, Leven?" Winter asked.
"I live just around the corner. I was just heading to the library." Leven told her.
"Oh. Do you mind if I come with you?" Winter questioned. "My mother told me to find a cook book for tonight's dinner." She was lying, and Leven knew it, but he didn't say anything.
"Sure, I don't mind," Leven said quickly when he realized Winter was still waiting for an answer.
The two of them continued their way to the library in silence until they heard someone following them. They turned around and saw a small creature that looked something like a cat. "Hello Lev. I am Clover Ernest, your sycophant." The small thing introduced itself. "I found this and thought you'd like to see it."
Leven glanced down at what Clover was holding and saw a book with a picture of him on the cover. The title of the book was Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo.
Well, what do you think? I decided to write this story because there aren't very many stories for Leven Thumps and I was kind of disappointed. Also, there aren't any where the characters read the books. Well, let me know what you think and I will update whenever I get the chance.
