Homework for Hufflepuff on the Hogwarts Online forum! And yes, I am a Hufflepuff and a die-hard Bellamort fan. It happens.

Write a one shot-one sided story about someone wishing they were in a relationship with someone. You can make it happen, or keep it just a wish. Your choice.
Prompts (use two): daydream, smile, lips, and Great Hall

He never smiles.

Of course she notices. She sees everything about him.

She has known him for long. She remembers his wry smirks and short, witty remarks from what feels like centuries ago.

She was his protégé then.

His lips are so thin they don't even look like lips anymore and his head is bald and his eyes are bloody red, they don't hold warmth but a searing feeling of burning, watching him makes her feel like she's falling apart at the edges but she can't bring herself to care. She loves him and it goes deeper than the eye, every inch of her body seems to scream for him day and night, as day and night her broken soul longs.

Still she watches him from the corner of her eye and her heart seems to beat harder than it's possible, whenever the very corner of his mouth tilts upwards.

Those are dangerous daydreams to entertain, she knows, but reckless as ever she lets her emotions flow, and in a wild fantasy his lips are pressed upon hers, his barely human body weighing her skinny frame down.

She wants the ice of his skin to soothe the fire burning her, yet every day she feels colder somehow, under his chilly gaze – a paradox she can't understand, despair never-ceasing.

Unworthy, his eyes whisper to her.

Weak.

She presses her lids shut, and tries to focus, but she lost this ability long ago.

Madness takes its toll.
