Okay, so I got the idea for this little story while I was talking to a friend, and suddenly I just burst into laughter. I couldn't stop, and this came to me! Enjoy, and please remember to review!

House stared into the blue green eyes as the laughter reached his ears, and he frowned. "Why are you laughing at me?"

More laughter.

He was seriously confused, and Gregory House did not like being confused. "Why are you laughing?" he repeated, more irritated.

This sent the person in front of him into fresh peals of laughter.

He rested his head in his hand and stared impatiently. "Well? Are you going to answer me or not?"

The blue green eyes continued to stare at him, as though picking him apart mentally. Then another round of fresh laughter.

"If you don't tell me what's so funny-"

"House, are you threatening that child?" a voice demanded, and he shook his head.

"Nope, just wanna know what's so funny," he answered, staring at the thirteen month old infant in front of him.

Cameron shook her head and ruffled his hair. "I don't think she can answer you, House," she said in a light voice.

"Sure she can. The little parasite just doesn't wanna answer."

The baby grinned toothlessly at him, then reached out and patted a chubby hand against his bristled cheek. "Da!"

"Ha! I told you she can talk," he exclaimed in victory as he scooped the baby up in his free arm. "Come here, you little parasite."

Cameron rolled her eyes. "Yeah, one word."

"But she talks," he insisted as Cameron tapped Zoey's little nose, sending the baby into a fit of giggles.

"Here, give me my kid," she said, taking their baby from her husband's arms.

Zoey shrieked and buried one chubby fist in Cameron's thick curls, babbling happily.

House rested his hand on his daughter's back. "Hey, you." When she turned and looked at him, he said, "No comments from the peanut gallery."

Zoey just flung her little arms around House's neck and buried her face there, her entire little body shaking with joyous laughter.

The End

A/N: (grins cheesily) I hope everyone enjoyed that little pick me up. I'm trying to hit 200 stories before the 19th, and this is 186. Yay! So, if anyone has any ideas, please let me know. If I use the idea, you'll definitely get credit. Thanks for reading, everyone, and happy holidays!
