Bomb voyage

The sound of my gun rattles above the din. All around me, explosions and the light of alchemical reactions makes my brain rattle. I squeeze my trigger at the Ishbalite holding the gun. The bullets cut him down in an instant. I see another one running up to him and I keep my rifle a rattalin'. It's great! Then I hear it. A sound, which to me, can be translated as the hollow toll of death approaching: the click of an empty clip. Click, click, click.

I look around for someone to fill me up. There's one. He's a State Alchemist, the red or crimson or something alchemist. Surely he can help me out. I turn and run like hell, waving my arms to get his attention. He sees me and then looks past me. I know what he's looking at. They're closing in. The Ishbalites. All the more reason for me to get some more ammo. As I get closer, I see the Alchemist smile. But it ain't no happy grin, it's some kinda smirk. Like he's laughin'. Why's he laughing, there's nothin' to laugh about. What kinda damage is that watch gonna do?

I'm close to him now. I open my mouth to speak and he charges at me. In a split second I'm on the ground and he's holdin' me. Hard. He presses him palms together and cackles like a maniac. His palms glow and I feel a change. Inside me. I'm scared now.

"What's goin' on?" I ask weakly.

He's happy. He leans in close to me and whispers, "You've volunteered yourself to become a weapon against the enemy. Bomb voyagè."

What did he say! A bomb! What does that mean?

That's when I felt it. A pain in my gut. Things comin' in from all directions, to mix in my stomach. I can feel my blood boiling, like, physically raising temperature. I feel like screaming but can't find the air. Like all the oxygen has gone from my lungs. Then I start to sweat. Only it's not sweat that's comin' from my pores, its dirt. No, not dirt, I smell it now. Its comin' out my eyes, my ears, I can even feel it mixing with my blood. Gun powder. This time I do scream. Suddenly, I feel every molecule of my body being pulled apart and then I make a much louder noise.

Boom.
