"Oh god, don't you dare-" I heard Tama-chan's annoyed voice before my face came closer and closer to the ground. Thump! Before Tama knew it, I had already passed out on the ground, face first. I felt something sticky poke through my lips. The distinct taste of chocolate exploded in my mouth. I mentally moaned as my eyes popped open. The first thing that I see is Tama's face hovering right above me. I must be lying on his lap again from this angle.
"Why do you keep passing out every goddamn minute?" He asked right after standing up and pulling me with him. I dusted myself off, "Obviously because you don't feed me enough." I muttered, soft enough for him to hear, apparently. I peeked at him under my long, light blonde hair, which could easily be mistaken as white.
A vein popped out on his forehead and his right eye started twitching. "You know, Aoi, not everybody has this weird condition like you. I mean, who passes out every minute and doesn't wake up no matter what unless I feed you something?! Even a goddamn earthquake wouldn't wake you up!" His body shook with anger as he glared at me.
Tama-chan was only 15, but his temper makes him seem like a really old man. I pointed this out several times, which only earned me a few hits on the head. After that, I learnt not to point it out anymore. Since I knew Tama was really strong. Not as strong as me though, "Kekeke." A grin pulled at the sides of my mouth as I chuckled.
'What's so funny?" Tama-chan snapped back at me. "Oh nothing." I whistled and folded my arms behind my head and casually walked away. I could still feel Tama-chan's glare burning a hole into my back. "We're gonna miss the ship if you continue wasting time like that." I called out, without looking back at him. I could hear him shuffling his feet to follow me. I smiled, no matter how angry Tama-chan seems, I know he still loves me. He is my best friend, afterall.
After about 20 to 30 minutes of walking and getting lost, we finally reached the sea port where ships were filed down a straight line. There were so many people eating, getting onto the ships, and just roaming around. But I guess it's to be expected, since the ship which goes to the Hunter examination site is right here. "Woaah! There's so many people here. Nothing like back at our place, right Aoi?"
"Mhm." I nodded, looking around the place again. This place sure is lively. Nothing likeā¦that place. I shivered. Just thinking about it makes me sick. Just forget about it, Aoi. You're never going back there, so it's okay. You're here with Tama-chan, and that's all that matters. We walked around the port, exploring the place. "This place sure is big." Tama-chan mumbled. "What do you wanna do first?" And right after he asked that, my tummy grumbled, answering the question for me. "I guess I should've known." He laughed. "Come on," he grabbed my hand,
"let's get something to eat before we set off."
