With the orders in, Robin turned his attention to Zatanna.
"Look… I'm trying to be all nonchalant here," he started.
"Why?" Zatanna interrupted, "Be as chalant as you like."
He grinned. Did she… did she just disregard a prefix?
Indeed she did. It was an open invitation; he could be as excitable, warm, interested, attentive, attached, caring, concerned, emotional, feeling, flappable, ruffled, impressible, perturbed, and troubled about her as he wanted.
And he was.
Yup. He was definitely chalant.

And to my dear anon DoctorDonna, should you read this again: It was meant to be short, as canon & in-character as possible and within the context and the actions of the show to tickle their flirtation a little bit more without going over the top and changing too much/anything at all. I apologize that I wrote so incorrectly. Hopefully I didn't upset the gods of fanfiction by rewriting something so short based on what I saw on TV. I did not realize that fanfiction had to follow certain criteria.
